RE: Unfounded jealousy and rage

in #writing7 years ago

I think that people vote and comment that texts because they recognize a feeling, mood, wound,... the have inside them too.
They dont vote how well is described, written, the style, etc they are not publishers, they dont mind if is better or worse written meanwhile they recognize a part of themself in the text.
You have both things: you know build good writting and send concepts and feelings throught images so...
Ok i know you like erotica and is wich you want to write and is fun etc... but... how many people read erotica? How many people can be recognized in the texts and feel emphaty with them... a lotttt of less than people who talk to several topics
Of course i dont say you dont write erotica but... we cant have all at same time in these life... :-)
Perhpas you could have a try and diversify the topics, of course you can do not diversify but then... i think you already know people who like the combination of erotica + good writing... and we are not a lot...
You are great and those jealousy its not bad its self love about eyyy what the hell is happen i write better!! (And i agree with that).
But the thing is... are you writting about what people wants or needs to read? If you want massive votes and comments...
Where a thing can be selled better? If you sell fruits and vegetables that all people needs in a big city with a lot of prospect clients.... or if you try to sell cycles in an small town?
Anyway i enjoy your texts and it doesnt matter if you write about fruits or cycles

You're right, of course. I have no expectation to popularity writing in a taboo forbidden niche already removed from the masses. I guess I wanted my awesome prowess to shine through the "pussy" "cock" and "balls" talk.

Thank you for your continued support and well-wishing. I haven't seen you around in a while. Perhaps you're tired of the constant commenting? Maybe you're working out and writing a book or a poem of your own in native language or english?

So I've taken your suggestion, "write to market" or sell fruit to the city people that want it. The book "Rec Center Backdoor" has been getting a lot of traction, so I'm writing another niche topic, "The Neighbor's Backdoor Bargain" about an older neighbor that "blackmails" a neighbor girl into the butt sex. I figure it will hit that niche.

I just feel so weird talking so clinically about it when I've written very organically and sensually before this as a part of the story and not writing a story around an explicit sex act to get people to buy it. I feel like a pornographer.

I have been pretty busy yes...
Umm the thing is that i know you enjoy and like write erotica but... you want and expect having a higher impact too.
I just say you are able to write several kind of stories about several diferent topics.
Of course you can continue writing erotica but...in order to fill that part you feel more empty about the impact... i guess you could write about another topic diferent than erotica.
As example when you go to a book shop, a good reader always seek for a good story, sometimes is a thriller, sometimes have a historic background, action, etc... i think just a 0,15% seek erotica so... althought you'd be the best at it... not high impact, right?
I know i'm stubborn but you too :-) , so... again why do you not try with another kind of topic & story?
