Your future automobile may read your mind

Cars of future might be able to read your mind. Nissan is researching B2V (Brain to Vehicle Technology) that would read your brainwaves to predict if you plan to brake or turn and initiate the move 0.5 seconds before you do. The system will work with a skull cap work by the driver, it will be able to detect discomfort and use AI to change the driver’s configuration or driving style while in autonomous mode.

As self-driving cars are becoming the norm, Nissan says this feature will be for those who still want to have some control. The feature will even be able to alert the vehicle when the driver wants to take over without touching any buttons or voice commands.
