The Dairy Game. 09/05/2024 -- Becoming a chef

Its Thursday, and instead of going to work, i'd be staying home all day due to what is now known as "ghost town" in my city as a result of the ongoing anglophone crises. The previous day after work, i passed by the market to buy some foodstuffs which i intend to use and cook since i will be home through out the following day. I bought some garden eggs, tomatoes, smoked fish, fresh meat, onions and some plantains. The idea was to cook garden egg stew and eat with the plantains.

I got up from bed (Thursday morning) around 7am, mainly because i will be staying home all day and also as a result of stress doing shopping the previous day and heart break after the football team i support( BAYERN ) was knock out of the champions league by Real Madrid in the semi finals. So i was actually going through alot through out. When i got up, i had my morning meditation for about 30 minutes, followed by some morning exercise in the small space in my room. I did some general cleaning after my exercise starting with the kitchen keeping the plates and pots clean.

After cleaning, it was already around 10am and i was so so hungry. I went to the road, bought bread to come and drink it with some tea as my morning breakfast to get energy before i will prepared the foodstuffs i bought from the market the previous day. After having my breakfast, i did some laundry, at least this time around i have a washing machine so it was less stressful and less time consuming as well.

When i was done with laundry, i had to watch a youtube video to be sure of what i will be doing in the kitchen. I didn't want to mess things up and so i decided to learn by watching a video recipe on what i want to cook.

After the video, i was very confident enough to embark on the cooking journey. To cut the long story short, i tried my best to do exactly what i saw and learnt while watching the video and the end results was delicious. Boiling plantains was never the problem, the problem was cooking the garden egg stew.

At the end of my cooking experience, i can say i am gradually becoming a husband material.
When i was done from the kitchen, i posted what i had prepared on my whatsapp status. My neighbors saw it and some decided to pay me a visit. I gave served them and the compliments they gave made me feel like a chef.

Around 5pm i started rehearsing with my saxophone, not playing any song but just doing some finger exercise to be more flexible with key positions. I rehearsed for about an hour and when i was done, i ended my day by watching some movies on Netflix.
