Treasure of the world (Europe) | ชมขุมทรัพย์จากทั่วโลก ตอน ยุโรป

Hello everyone, Last time I had a chance to visit National Museum of Singapore and luckily on that day there was a treasure of the world exhibition. Therefore, I would like to share you Europe treasure.

สวัสดีค่ะเพื่อนๆทุกท่าน เนื่องจากเราได้มีโอกาศไป national museum of Singapore และวันนั้นก็มีการจัดนิทรรศการเกี่ยวกับ ขุมทรัพย์จากทั่วโลก ซึ่งวันนี้เราขอนำเสนอ เรื่อง ขุมทรัพย์ทางยุโรปค่ะ

Firstly is Death mask, it was found in Jerusalem, Roman. This was placed over the face of dead as memorial portraits. There are two pair of holes at the edge of the mask allowed it to be stitched onto a burial shroud.

เริ่มจากชิ้นแรกกันเลยนะคะ ชิ้นนี้เป็นหน้ากากแห่งความตายค่ะ ถูกค้นพบที่ เยรูซาเล็ม ประเทศโรมัน สิ่งนี้จะถูกวางไว้บนหน้าของผู้เสียชีวิต ซึ่งจะมีรูสองรูตรงขอบของหน้ากาก เพื่อให้เย็บติดกับผ้าคลุมศพค่ะ

Secondly, this magnificent shield from north Wales displays unparalleled skills in metalworking. The face of the shield is made from a single sheet of bronze. Such a prestigious object would have been used by a warrior to display his status.

Next, Bust of the emperor Hadrian from Italy. This portrait bust is the Roman emperor Hadrian, who ruled from AD 117 to 138. He had curly hair and a Greek-style beard.

Next, The Lewis Chessman probably made from Ivory in Norway. The remarkable medieval chess pieces known as the Lewis Chessmen were discovered in Scotland. The two pieces shown here represent a knight riding a horse and standing bishop holding a crozier and holy book. We cannot be sure that why they came to be buried in Scotland.

ชิ้นต่อมา คือ The Lewis Chessman หรือ หมากรุก Lewis ซึ่งอาจจะถูกทำขึ้นที่ประเทศ นอร์เวย์ และ มันทำมาจาก งาช้างค่ะ แต่ถูกค้นพบที่ สก็อตแลน ซึ่งเขาก็ไม่แน่ใจว่าทำไมถึงมาถูกพบไกลขนาดนี้ สองชิ้นที่เราเห็นในรูปนั้น อันหนึ่งเป็นอัสวินกำลังขี่ม้า และ อีกอันเป็น บิช็อป กำลังถือคัมภีร์ และ คทานักบวช

Next Casket with scenes of courtly love, this elaborately decorated casket shows scenes of courtship drawn from medieval love poetry. On the left, a musical poet serenades love poetry. On the right. A man bends to kneel before his lady who hold a hawk. The casket is one of the earliest surviving secular caskets produced in the enamel workshop of Limoges in central France.

Finally, horizontal table clock with detachable alarm was made in south Germany, principally as luxury expert items. The clock’s square case is decorated with cast and chased scenes depicting the mythical Greek musician Orpheus. Clipped onto the top of the clock is a detachable alarm mechanism released by the hour hand as it turns.
