THE LIVING FAITH

Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen"
There is a different between the living faith and the dead faith which is mostly encountered by man in the aspect of their expectation from God. many doubt what God can do and this delay their prayer from being answered, even God also said that without faith it is impossible to please God, so strive to make your faith a living one.
Text: James 2:17-26
"(17) Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. (18) Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. (19) Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. (20) But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? (21) Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? (22) Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? (23) And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
(24) Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. (25) Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? (26) For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also."

We use our faith to sees into the invisible world by believing and hoping that he his the only that can do it for you and we also use our faith to call God into action of our matter, there are many things that make the faith of man a dead faith which are :

1. Lack of believe
2. Long time hope
3. earthly materials
4. Trust in Man
5. Lots of false prophet
   All this were the factors that make the faith of man a dead faith and with this there assurance of receiving anything from God because without a living faith no man can please God, Without faith man is seen to be lifeless. Apostle James expounded on this truth with the specific example of the father of faith, Abraham.
   What might have happen if our father Abraham’s walks of faith tend to end with a refusal to God word, when God asked him to offer his only son, Isaac, as a burnt offering? Thank God Abraham obeyed God regardless that was his only son, which make him the father of faith because he has always know that God can make a way where there seems to be no way. In response to the demonstration of his faith that had moved from theory to practical, God said to Abraham: # ## Genesis 22:12 "Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou anything unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.” ##
   so make your faith a living one, God bless us all
