Near Death Experiences: Are They Real?

in #primary7 years ago

How tongues intersects with the rest of Christian life is another topic where I think those who are not practitioners have little insight. I know people who spoke in tongues at one time, and are now not practicing Christians, but speaking in tongues was not the issue. There are now thousands of documented histories, carefully researched, around the world. There really is very little doubt, but oddly, a number of people cling to it as they're afraid it might be true. Personally, I think there is some confusion about where the line falls between the two, even by people familiar with tongues. In an interview with Esquire, actress and sexpot Megan Fox describes her surprisingly devout Pentecostal background and familiarity with speaking in tongues. Also, tongues speakers have their own sounds and words that they will repeat over and over, often for years. I don't know how "people think consciousness will stay organized after death without a brain." The natural afterlife does not depend on consciousness staying organized after death. It is quite reasonable to assume that someone can have an NDE, yes a "near-death" experience, just before dying--i.e., "near" to death.

Near death experiences, first explored in depth by Dr. Raymond Moody, opened a door that future researches walked through. If the NDE was just wonderful hallucinating brain chemicals being released at the time of death, causing these identical experiences, how can these people relate real things they saw and heard while clinically dead? I believe that there is life after death, certainly! There is not even nothingness. If there is nothing we will not be able to know. HughSmulders LM: I think we're making enough progress, Hugh, to define some of it, although beliefs and best guesses will fill in the gaps for the foreseeable future. I don't knock anyone their beliefs. Before this past year, my practice was to take advantage of the alpha state benefits of tongues, and pay little attention to the sounds. A detailed library of recorded regressions into this space, gathered by Newton and his colleagues, leaves little doubt about the general idea but many questions about the details.

Dr. Michael Newton took it a giant step ahead when he accidentally discovered what came next (Journey of Souls: Case Studies of Life Between Lives), the life between lives that seems to be our core, eternal experience. I am familiar with Dr. Moody but not Newton or Long. That being was right my time had not yet come. I remember being suspended in nothingness. What about statistical analysis do you doubt? But his evidence and analysis of it is irresistible. For some reason I've been fascinated by the idea of a "life" after this particular plane we find ourselves on. It's exciting to be one of those who poke their noses into the unknown and try to make sense of what they find. The lady who knew my mum had put a hot water bottle under the blanket and I could feel its warmth. By admitting that we feel rotten, and allowing ourselves to feel that way.

The fact that sometimes my body freezes when I am sleeping g and I almost think I'm dead and feel like my soul is leaving my body and I can't wake up. I'm dreaming halfway but think I am no longer. While this wonderful man of light was holding my hand I was no longer in a hurry to go anywhere. It embodies your NDE at a point in time and includes an expectation of future moments (as does any present moment) and your sense of self (as does any dream). The final NDE moment thus becomes your forever present moment. Nothing in the research changes that. You can ignore the research and what it's telling us. He also thought the New Age movement overstated the results of his research as spiritual proofs. At this point that summer is 25 years in the past, and my sense is that during that time a foundation was laid down in my spiritual life that I have been building on ever since. We have a close spiritual connection. The past few days I have been participating in a forum discussion about how one views and interacts with the Bible.

I don't know if I would agree 100% with all the views presented, but it's good to talk about this sort of thing! Good luck and thank you. Then all of a sudden I seemed to be falling down what seemed to be a long tunnel. She believed he was with her as she scattered his ashes due to a gust of wind that seemed to come from nowhere and an absolute feeling of his presence. We've discovered a lot, and there's a lot more to come. I was pushed back into my mother, by the doctor, my mother told me the pain was more than the birth itself. Simply choose to turn your thoughts to a more positive place. Those are the big questions.Thanks. Thanks for making me aware of these other researchers. The natural afterlife is indeed difficult to understand (and explain!) because of its relativistic and timeless aspects.
