Tree Tuesday in Hollywood
This is a photo I took in November during a stretch of particularly wonderful sunsets here in Los Angeles. And funny enough, this is also a photo of Sunset Boulevard just east of Vine Street. The building in the photo was formerly the Nickelodeon Studio but the signage has been removed. It's actually a historic theater built in 1938 (and protected by the Historic Preservation Board) but from the mid 1990's until 2011, many of Nickelodeon's most popular shows were produced here. Hopefully something fun takes Nickelodeon's place here! But for the point of this photo and the theme, palm trees against the setting sun is still one of my favorite things in the world!
Thanks to @old-guy-photos for initiating #treetuesday!

Cool photography! :)
Great image of tree silhouettes! That string of lights adds interest too and takes the eyes away from the cars below them!
Thanks! Cars are my least favorite part of LA cityscape photos. Anything that distracts away from them are a good thing!
Palm trees at sunset will never go out of style.
Yeah, I agree. There's something so relaxing about it!
I got to say I never realized they actually grew that tall!!! Amazing.
They are very tall! And when it's windy, the huge leaves fall off the tree and end up in the road. They can be a menace.
Beautiful photography, greetings :D
Nice shot. Actually, we were talking about the L.A. palms today. I think we have the same palm species here in Mexico too but we have never seen them growing this high here! But as far as remember, almost all of the palms we saw in L.A. were stunningly thin and tall. How come your palms are so tall? :D
Beautiful!
I love how the palm trees seem to be like islands... Islands in the Stream perhaps...? ;) Loving the sky and its colours too....
