DISCUSSION TOPIC:
Cleansing And Restoration
BIBLE READING:
Leviticus 14: 1-20
Qs. 1, 7. See Questions HERE.
DISCUSSION:
Look at vs. 1-3 again. Take note that it was God himself who made provision for the restoration of the isolated person and it was the priest who went outside the camp to meet the diseased person. What does this reveal about God and Christ (Hebrews 13:11-12; Luke 19:10)?
Identify the four types of offerings involved in the atonement process in vs. 12-20. These sacrifices picture the atonement work of Christ on the cross of Calvary, done on our behalf and through which we were restored to fellowship with God.
Note also that blood and oil were applied to the ear, thumb, toe and head of the person, exactly like in priests' ordination (Leviticus 8:22-24). By this, the person that was restored, like the priest, becomes completely dedicated to God and has the privilege of hearing, serving and walking with God.
So what?
We can now approach the throne of grace with confidence because Christ has atoned for our sins (Hebrews 10:19-22).
Prayer:
Thank the Lord for atoning for your sins on the cross of Calvary!
REMAIN BLESSED!
