- The new Reichsregierung under Joseph Wirth (center) accepted without conditions the London ultimatum presented by the Allies on 5 May and thus the definition of the German reparational debt at 132 billion goldmark.
- The British Ministry of Agriculture announces that in Ireland the foot-and-mouth disease was eradicated.
