  • The Inter-Allied Commission in Opole lifts the state of emergency imposed on Kattowitz (Katowice), Königshütte (Chorzów), Pless (Pszczyna) and the Rybnik district. This was imposed on March 20 to ensure peace and order in the referendum on citizenship of the German Reich or Poland.

  • The food ministers of the German states meet in Bremen. They decide to drop the state rationing of milk and meat, which has existed since 1916, as soon as possible.

  • A non-profit business community of the university is set up in Leipzig to provide financial support for academics. She wants to support needy students with donations.
