After halving, bitcoin mining declined

It's been a week since the regular halving of the prize (halving) for bitcoin mining, which happens about every four years. It has shrunk to 6.25 bitcoins (currently around € 54,000) per block, so on average every 10 minutes. This timeline is kept approximately constant so that the network regularly adjusts the mining complexity to the amount of available computing power. And there are far fewer of them after halving.

On average, 20 percent less computing power was available this week than before the halving: it fell from 122 EH/s to just under 100 EH/s. This is to be expected, as with the halving of the prize, which was not reflected in the growth of the exchange rate, the older mining facilities became unprofitable.

Currently, around 900 bitcoins are mined every day. As complexity decreases, some of the excluded mining facilities are expected to resume operation. These are especially those with power below 25 TH/s, which are low profitable. Prior to the halving, their market share was 15-30 percent.
