Contest Alert 1 Picture 1 Story Week #58

Hello, good day, my dear friends! It seems that the contest ‘1 picture, one story”, hosted by @suboohi has become very popular on this site. I am confident that the image I am sharing this week will surprise you. I would also like to invite my friends @jenniferm, @hyacinthfavour and @josepha to participate in this contest.

Yesterday, early in the morning, one stranger unexpectedly visited our house. It was a mynah bird who lost his way. It flew right inside and sat calmly on one of our chairs. I was very pleased when my husband showed it to me. I approached him, but he showed no excitement and remained motionless. I felt sorry for the bird and reached to it with a small bowl of rice. To my amazement, the bird wasn’t scared at all and happily pecked at the food, eating it as if it was used to human company. We assumed that it was a house-bred pet that had lost its way, because it was very tame and tried to communicate with us whistling.

This snapshot shows how my husband was feeding a banana to the bird. When I fed him with rice, my husband was glad to see that. Then he also wanted to feed it with a banana. The bird happily ate half of the banana. While we were feeding the bird, our pet Beenu screamed softly, might be jealous of the attention we were giving this stranger. But we paid more and more attention to the bird with the hope of hearing his screaming more loudly.

We assumed that the bird was not familiar with the outdoors. That's why it came into our house. Although we wanted to care for it, we didn't like to keep the animals in the cages. Furthermore, we were afraid that our Beenu may react negatively if the bird stayed too long. Any way we gave him chance stay freely as it wanted.

After about two hours of flying around, the bird had flew away without our knowledge. We searched outside to see whether he was safe, but we couldn't find him. We wished that he could return to his place safely.
