SEC S17W5: The Diary Game (Date): "The ways of life".
Good day, my dear friends. Today, I am joining the Recreative Steem Community to participate in their SEC S17W5 contest organized by @hive-141434.
I would want to share with you my day on May 5, 2024. It was a Sunday, a public holiday in Sri Lanka. I got up at 4.30 a.m. since we had planned to visit Sri Lanka's Bakkula Maha Seya in Horana. The Ladies Association of my Scheme organized this event and embarked on our exciting adventure at about 7.00 a.m. Twenty three members gathered anxiously, and we got up the Rosa bus arranged by the Society. We headed off on this significant day with hearts full of excitement and minds open to new experiences, aiming to make lasting memories.
We could be at our location by 9:00 a.m. It was a Buddhist temple where precious body and hair relics of Lord Gauthama Buddha were deposited in a stupa. There, I discovered Bhikshu Hospital for sick Monks, which was a really important service. People generously gave funds and other goods for the use of these monks, who numbered around 35.
After worshipping at the temple, we ate our prepared breakfast on its grounds.
Our next destination was Devram Vehera in Pannipitiya, which belonged to Kolonnawa Sri Sumangala Thera. The most important mission of this temple was to record the complete Thripitakaya on stone tablets. These remained for thousands of years since they were carved on stone. In many ways, this temple is unique. The temple grounds are covered with plants, stupas, and other religious buildings like those seen in India.

We were exhausted after ending our time there owing to the country's extreme heat, but our tiredness disappeared as we tasted the delicious olive pickle brought by one of the ladies.
After leaving that location, we proceeded to Bellanwila Temple, one of Sri Lanka's oldest Buddhist temples. Many devotees go to worship the sacred Bo tree, which is thought to be one of the oldest branches of Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi in Anuradhapura.
When was time for lunch, we headed to Battarmulla 'Diyatha Uyana' and enjoyed our delicious meals. We spent a couple of hours just enjoying the surroundings because it was such a lovely place. The peaceful setting allowed us to relax and admire the beauty surrounding us. We went around the gardens' paths, which were filled with beautiful trees.
In the evening, we headed to Mt. Lavina beach for a swim and spent precious time together. We played in the sea, laughing and playing as the cold waves touched our feet. When the sky became orange and pink, we were grateful for the time we spent with our loved ones.
We concluded our journey with a visit to Colombo Fort City. The newly constructed buildings and historic sites make us proud of our culture and heritage.
Our adventure ended by strengthening our bonds and leaving us with cherished memories.

What an epic and memorable visit at Siri Lanka country you have shared to us old and inspirational and historical ornaments. Especially Sri Lanka's oldest Buddhist temples amazing structure and designed and also enjoyed delicious meals at different places. At night , you enjoyed the loving time at Mt.
