HOME MADE REMEDIES FOR PAINFUL MENSTRUATION or DYSMENORRHEA
First let us identify syptoms and causes before we get to the natural remedies that can heal or relieve the pain of menstruation. The syptoms are that lower abdominal pain & discomfort experienced just before or during the menstruation period. Sometimes the pain may be accompanied by any of the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome. These symptoms may be breast tenderness, headache and abdominal bloating. The causes may be because women have menstrual period pain of three to four months. At about 1/5 of these women, the pain is severe enough to disrupt normal activities. These pains is usually experienced within the 24 hours before menstruation or the first few days of the period. Primary dysmenorrhea occurs usually in the early teens. One to two years after periods begin, ovulation generally begins and the pains with it. An increase in prostaglandins occurs somedays after ovulation & makes the uterine muscles contracts. This contraction interferes w/ blood supply that causes pain. This kind of pain lessens after the age of 25 and generally disappears by age of 30. It becomes less severe after a childbirth.
The diet should be light and just simple. You should only eat fresh fruits and vegetables primarily. And ofcourse do not overeat. Should eat Omega 3 fatty acids because they keeps prostagandins trapped in cells, that they cannot enter the muscle tissue and trigger spasms. As I said eralier vegetables and fruits are you primary meal so avoid arachinic acid which are usuallly found in dairy products, pal, kernel oil and meat. Reduce the salt intake, sometimes food allergies is the cause. Drink catnep tea each morning and evening during the period, Place 1 tsp. of powder in a cup of boiling water. Let steep, then after cooling it down you can drink it. Also the strawberry leaf tea, can be taken over a number of months but will later help regulate the flow. Also drinking some tea like Chamomile and Peppermint relieves painful spasms, digestion and readuces bloat & pain.ENCOURAGEMENT
