SteemJ is a project that allows you to communicate with a steem node using Java. The project also supports most API calls and is also capable of broadcasting most common types of operations. to find more detailed information you can find it in the github repository here

This project is great @shaphir, this application is the open door that has been needing Steemit hopefully and someday support other programming languages.

Pros:

Works with all API calls, which greatly facilitates the development work.
With this application, the limitation of having to be inside Steem Blockchain to develop is broken.
I am sure that the development of software using Steem Blockchain technology will grow considerably in the coming months thanks to this programming.

Cons:
