Recapping 2017 (January - June)
In the spirit of the end of the year, i've decided to showcase my 2017 in photography! I fell in love with traveling and this time i've decided to turn it into a major purpose! A LOT has happened this year so I will have to break it up in parts as best I can for you all!! Every picture will have a story behind it so sit back and and enjoy the ride.
January
The lady to my right is Japanese actress/singer/model Anri Okita. We met in March 2016 in Tokyo and I was hoping to one day interview her! She's a former adult star but she has made an awesome transition into doing what she really wants to do! Her hustle and grind is unmatched and she doesn't stop making improvements in her life every day!
FEATURED:Interview with Anri Okita.
This was my "home" for seven months in Seoul. Looks small, huh? This is what's known as a "goshiwon" or "office tel". It's an office space you can rent for either a day or a month. Students usually rent a room out like this so they can get away from the craziness and get some proper studying done. This particular one wasn't all that great for a number of reasons.
There's no heater or a/c in the place so I had to use a space heater and fan to be comfortable.
The internet was terrible. There was a router but it worked only if you were part of a particular network. I had no router so I had to deal with crap internet from the wire. If I wanted to play PS4 online, i'd had to hardwire but sacrifice how I could stream properly.
Thin walls. I could hear my neighbor snore like crazy (then again, he could hear me too).
February
This was my first church family ever in Korea. When I first arrived in 2012, they welcomed me into their house, gave me the word, and fed me!
To this day, I still talk to members of the church and they've been nothing but fantastic to me.
This is my favorite dish in Asia: Curry pork cutlet!
March
This is YouTuber Megan Bowen. Her content is about the amazing things one can find in Korea from her point of view. We both came to Korea and started YouTube at the same time. Her channel is at over 615k subscribers! She's also on television teaching English and she has her own clothing line. Megan is a hustler!
This was taken at a dog and raccoon cafe! All of animals are rescue animals and they all frolic around the area! The corgi in my hand was being bullied by a big raccoon so I rescued it and just kept it.
This shirt was super popular around the winter time. I don't know if they stole the design from someone on the internet (probably, given no one is creative in this country) but it was neat to see.
April
I went to Tokyo for a visa run and by luck, I had a chance to see Anri perform in concert. She did only two songs but it was fun to see. Interesting story about this event: See, it was her and various others performing in a very seedy part of Tokyo. The place we were at was a Mexican restaurant. It has a big stage in the middle and a pole for pole dancing! The event was full of people from all over and we literally partied until 5 am! I have NEVER done that and I don't think i'll do that again for a VERY long time.
This is me with the current president of South Korea. Moon Jae In! This was four days before he was elected president. I had great timing with this picture! What happened was he had a surprise rally in Hongdae (a neighborhood in Seoul) and I got through the crowd just to see him. I said to him in Korean "Sir! I'm a foreigner!" and he came and took the picture you see.
May
My friend Ms. Sun gave me a tour of Seoul. She took me to some places i've never been to before and it was interesting seeing a part of the electronic district that is virtually unknown to foreigners! I saw this robot and it made me think of the giant Gundam in Tokyo.
This is me with singer Oh Ha Young from the K-pop group Miss A. She was there for some TV show.
Back with Megan at her birthday party! That was a LOT of fun! It sucked I had to leave so early because it was kinda far from my house.
There's a restaurant chain in Asia called Coco's and they serve pork cutlets. This place specialty is the spicy curry special. You can get level 1-10. Guess what level I got?
June
The top five pictures are me in Taipei, Taiwan. This trip was SUPER necessary. I was able to recharge my batteries (mentally and spiritually), meet someone that helped me get my Twitch career a HUGE recharge, and see a country i've never seen before.
My friends in the last picture are people I met when I was in Japan. These wonderful people showed me how great the country is and I will NEVER forget their hospitality!

I was just sitting here in Indianapolis Indiana thinking ..... How it would be to live in Asia as a black person. Not being racist but just a realest no one ever speaks upon how we are treated in those parts of the world glade to see you were taken in with open arms. I my self celebrated Christmas with an Chinese family and it was very interesting seeing what we do oppose to what they were used to. I would love to see and read more adventures of yours keep the post coming !
Hey hey man! Glad you like it! I know a lot of people are curious about it and I am glad to see someone is on here!! I see so many black people that do travel and all of their content is the same. BORING!!!
I can agree lol keep up the good work
