Greetings my fellow Steemians in the Steem Kids & Parents community, how are you doing? hope by God's grace we are all doing fine. Today I am here for an amazing contest "Let's do it...Do It Yourself👉Craft, Creativity, Drawing, origami, DIY, Recycling and more" which was arranged by @mesola. Drawings of nature-related things are something I enjoy. So today I will draw a Kingfishers bird sitting on a tree trunk waiting to catch fish.

Kingfisher is a medium or small size and very colorful bright bird. Its feathers are often metallic in shine and with accents of blue, green, purple, and reddish-brown. It consumes small fish. It can also be observed consuming huge water insects, and frogs.. To capture prey, it rests on a tree branch and lowers its head towards the water. It dips its head, dives into the water, catches the prey, and brings it back to the branch.

✏️Step 01 ✏️

The beak of the Kingfisher is proportionally large, quite thick, and long, and the tip is pointed. I have drawn the bird's beak with the help of two lines keeping the mentioned features in mind. I also drew his head with eyes.

In this step, I drew the rest of its body including its short tail and pointed nails.

I have drawn a tree trunk with a Kingfisher bird sitting on it using two straight lines.

In the fourth step, I drew some grass along the bottom side of the tree trunk.

I have colored, the kingfisher bird using blue, orange, and yellow colors.

In the last step, I painted the tree branches with yellow and orange colors. Then I painted the grass green and with blue colors, I indicate the water.

After finishing the drawing and coloring, I signed it with my username and took a selfie with it, which I shared with you all.

The kingfisher is a majestic creature which increases the beauty of nature. Unfortunately, this amazing bird is nearly going extinct today due to many various factors. To guarantee that no bird dies or becomes extinct as a result of us, it is everyone's duty to pay close attention.
