The Power of Food

Today was Thanksgiving, or "turkey day", but for me, I know it as eat as much food as humanly possible and then black out day. I was pretty excited, because Jake made sushi for tonight's meal on top of there already being a bunch of festive food.

He's putting wasabi on the Otoro nigiri, on the other plate is Ahi and Salmon nigiri. The benefits of dating a sushi chef :D



On his second platter, he took the Otoro scraps and made a Negitoro nigiri (negi means green onions)



There were lots of Thanksgiving type foods, but I put my phone away early instead of continuing to snap photos like a weirdo!

The Corn Attacked My Face

Everytime there is corn on the cobb, I must eat it! Today was no different, until I bit in... and heard something crack. I pulled out only half a tooth, and although there was no blood, my face went completely numb. I suddenly had flashbacks to like 5 years ago, when I was supposed to have a root canal and was like nopedy nope nope. I have managed to run from the drills, but at what cost?

Then I had to explain to Jake why my mouth was like that. So my teeth used to be super crowded, and by the time a tooth near the middle of the roof of my mouth was pulled out, this tooth was already super damaged and decayed through the center from being unable to reach. Only half came out too, and the other side feels fine, but I have to get a dentist appointment now.

Then I finished eating my turkey, stuffing, and gravy with the other side of my mouth just in case.

As I type this before I fall asleep, I can rest easy knowing that STEEM didn't attack me, or is making me go to the dentist. This tooth looks really gross, and I hope everyone remembers to brush their teeth very well after tonights dinner :F
