Checking out the competition.

With this competition to steemit comes other ramifications for the whole system that is life and the world we know now. I read last week the central banksters banging on about mass migration of people from the countryside to inner cities in the near future, they estimate (who cares) ridiculous amounts of people will be moving to cities instead of growing food and living in the countryside, this theory is based on ever decreasing numbers of jobs due to AI. I disagree with all of their findings 100%.

As they struggle to maintain control of the internet, new ICO's and even BTC. They are panicking, and they should be, there has never been a time like now with all these new tokenised sites coming to fruition. this will equate to people not needing to move to the city to look for work, with sites like trybe.one for instance you get rated out of 5 stars for your articles, only the best articles will be shown on the front page, this gives above average writers the spotlight, and ensures them a good token return. We all know about how steemit works so I need not cover that, Minds and many many other sites are going live with tokens, and all have different ways/skill sets that can be used to make tokens.

The revolution has begun, and without a single riot.

Once everyone finds "their" token site of choice, the one they fit best with and find the easiest to make tokens on, then nobody realistically may have to go to traditional jobs, and that would have some serious ramifications to the whole of society, the ridiculous prices being paid for property in places like London, Hong Kong and many other capitals would then disappear, this would leave a lot of people holding million $ debt mortgages, and lead to the biggest sell off ever known of prime property (they think) in history, and it would be sold for less than a small cottage in the countryside, as people shift away from cities.

A lot of the financial markets are in capital cities, from banks to stock markets. With banks becoming irrelevant, maybe stock markets will also, as one props the other up in a traditional market place of fiat currency.

Steemit's place

In my time here I have noticed how well this place attracts people from all over the globe, and a lot of people from so called developing nations, steemit has the capacity to change peoples lives from these communities where even a $ a day can mean the difference between eating or not. What though should be considered is not everyone arriving will speak perfect English, and as stinc does not lay out many rules, it should also be taken as a given, that people arriving will not know the imaginary rules everyone here has put in place. What are they you ask? well some people (names not mentioned) will flag comments from people on their blogs, if they the commentator does not upvote them first. Other people require perfect comments, and so on and so forth, you know the drill.

With all these new sites coming "live" daily, maybe a little more flexibility of opinion, and a little more flexibility of manufactured "rules" will be required on here, to save it becoming irrelevant, as other sites queue up to replace it, new sites without people making up their own rules. Just saying, flexibility is key to success in any business model, especially when there is a lot of competition, and that competition has arrived, right here and right now!

Verdict = The brave new world is here.

As always have a superb weekend.

Trype is the most boring website I've ever seen - you are inspiring me to see if I can get banned on it!

"Now that the airdrop is mostly done, the question for some people will obviously be; "should I sell my tokens"? This short term thinking is what I think still is the major symptom of the crypto currency space. A symptom coming from the mental state of short term profit thinking ..." - And then I dropped dead...

Who the hell ever got flagged for commenting without upvoting the post? - are you making this shit up? That is standard on Steemit and always has been - hell people used to to also upvote their own comment but not the post - in fact that used to be common in 2016...

You are the only person I know on Steemit who isn't appalled by trype! Hell my own Wordpress site runs a lot better than that pile of crap!

And only an aspie could call a site trybe and not anticipate that it would be called trype in about 24 hours...

Who the hell ever got flagged for commenting without upvoting the post?

Visit meestrboom and comment without upvoting, enjoy the flag.

hell people used to to also upvote their own comment but not the post - in fact that used to be common in 2016.

That was still happening a lot last xmas when I joined, it felt insulting every time someone did it.

And it is not trybe.one that is my focus, there are new sites daily that will be or are tokenized, the article states that I think there will be one for every skill set, I stand by that comment, and yes tyrbe is damn slow and pretty boring as of now, we shall see how it goes when it gets to beta, people said steemit was shit in 2016, I know as I signed up and left immediately myself, though it has come on a long way, maybe not all for the best eh!

Meesterboom is a law in himself - but I think I could get away with it as @sift666 because he knows me. Maybe not as @frot though :)

People don't give a toss about "tokens" - they want a $ sign. Except geeks...

What are the names of all these new sites?

Like I said, I am a geek, and seek and ye shall find, I have no idea what suits sirs taste, everything I say you shoot down, so I kinda "gave up" :-)

Please keep suggesting stuff - I do check it all out - like I'm going to have a look at Iota next

But what I want to see is a site that beats Steemit in every way and offers at least one huge improvement - otherwise the first site will always rule.

Technology really needs to keep progressing, not get stuck...

You say what? then how come my Montesa 360 capra vb is now worth over 10 grand as people hanker after the old thrills of arms being pulled off by mental powerbands, as the world goes full on tame?

monty.jpeg

Holy crap - do you have an old 70's powerband monster?

Yes, owned it for a very long time.

want a photo of me on it back in the day when I was fucking young? lol I have them pics on solids still, not digital, I can though digi pic a solid.

Look at this for steemit bullshit, it calls itself flagawhale, yet is going after little minnows, when it was going after haejin, when it was trendy, now trying to justify it's own presence, and trying to remain relevant, it goes after tiny fish who credit photos, and you wonder why I think this place stinks?
https://steemit.com/dlive/@flagawhale/2e9e731f-b933-11e8-8f16-0242ac110003#@flagawhale/re-shepz1-re-flagawhale-5158c780-b938-11e8-b946-25fab642de8c-20180915t231038791z

Yeah - I think flagging small accounts is pathetic.

But I never really encounter flagging - I just ignore it, and seldom even see it

I'm posting uncredited images about 20 - 100 times a day

flagawhale needs to be renamed flagaminnow who can not flag back, or maybe even forceaminnowtoleave as we are nazis, and this, is why I can not be fucking bothered to write anything of fucking note on this fucking site, it stinks of hypocritical wankers, and why the fuck should I be bothered to offer my insight into the mechanisms of government and false flags, with ignorant pigs?

Really - I am an investor - you name it and I will check it out - but this comment names none

Minds, Medium, Trybe, what should I be looking at next?

Medium - Design - LOL - this would have been very average in 2005

This is a site I was involved with in 2000 - and 18 years later it still looks pretty much the same - the content isn't as good now but still better than most forums - back in 2001 it was fully sifty!

I still remember drawing the original logo like it was 18 years ago...age sucks...

Good to know. Thanks for sharing😊

most welcome.

Yeah this place does tend to at time have a stiff upper lip appeal to it. They need to relax and let people blog without fear of being flagged. Opinions shouldn't be flagged, insults, threats, abuse, etc., sure but not opinions.

You know what they say, don't throw out your clothes because they will come back into fashion someday. I think that what's happening with gentrification. Now all the rage is about "living downtown", a workable, walkable, live-able community. Only thing is it gets to feel stuffy, to many people, to many cars. Another thirty, forty years and everyone will want to flee to the countryside again.

Another thirty, forty years and everyone will want to flee to the countryside again.

I think that time is now my friend, I noticed especially in the UK that natives were flocking to the rural areas and being replaced with migrants in the cities, IE London and Birmingham are now below 50% natives.

That is what i am hoping for to be able to live off of steem and maybe some other crypto tokens. And not have to waste my time working for someone else and paying huge taxes to the grubiment.

I hear ya bro, the time is here and now, just find the site that fits best with your own requirements / skill set.

Most definately, have a top day mate :)

And I think there are not as many comments like the one about 8 minutes before mine on trybe.one although it is slow at least I have not seen comments like that as they take tokens away. Hard to learn the new rules and all, but still an alternate place if the shit hits the fan to hard and heavy here. I have not looked at minds or ono yet, but as you say more and more are coming on line, and one of them may be a better fit for me. Who knows what will be in a year or two. In the 90's there was pow-wow, ICQ, and a few others, pow-wow was replaced by my space which was replaced by FB. ICQ was replaced by twitter, I could never really figure out why ICQ became non-relevant when it went away it worked pretty good. All things grow change and adapt or die. We will see what the future brings a quick death because someone did not look behind them, or a slow agonizing death because they failed to stay relevant to the wants and needs of their users.

Superb comment bro, and that is my point, flexibility as opposed to rigidity, the retention rate on here has been dismal to say the least, and mostly due to made up rules by sp holders as opposed to the site itself, mirror time for some, and a good look required, or it/this place will be irrelevant, and only serve as a "how not to" lesson for other sites to come.

I flagged that 8 minute old comment, as it is a phishing link to get passwords.

The revolution will not be televised but it may be tokenised :) I look forward to checking out the competition when I'm back up to speed. Great work my friend.

As always a superb comment, here is my referral link if you would like to try trybe.one, it is a little slow on there for now, as it is not the finished article so to speak, Have a superb weekend, http://trybe.one/ref/10667/
