Serviced Apartments

Travelling to a different country is an exciting experience. There is much to see and do. I will often spend weeks and weeks planning my trip so as to be ready so I can get the most out of my time. The prime deciding factor when I go away to travel boils down to time and budget. At times the holiday period will be extended, spanning across a number of weeks so it’s important to figure out what exactly I want to achieve on my trip and how much money I need to stretch out during this period.

During my stay in Australia I had the chance to stay for a longer period and settle into the Aussie way of life for a while. As I planned my stay, I decided to look into various accommodation types available. Most of the time I will book a hotel and look for a place that is well connected. This isn’t much of an issue as the lodging period isn’t long at all. However, as I would be staying a little longer than usual, the choices were a little more complicated. I spent a good amount of time looking into various hotels that would suit my budget. Many of them held higher charges for extended stays with little in the way of discounts. It’s hard to know if you’ll be happy at all with an accommodation without trying it out first. If you leave booking until too close a date, the fees tend to skyrocket unless there are cancellations.

After considering how long I was to stay, I opted to block book a serviced apartment instead for moderate amount of time. The serviced apartment options worked out much cheaper for the room space and facilities I would be receiving. I would forego the hotel lobby experience and things like a spa. Instead, I made use of a kitchen, washing machine and other amenities that were far more valuable in my eyes. To my delight, the room itself was absolutely huge and was nothing short of what I expected in a hotel either. There was a desk for me to work at also, with in house cleaners that would attend to the room on a daily basis, I quickly became a fan of serviced apartments. For those looking for another accommodation style that stretches a little further, I would highly recommended serviced apartments.
