Assalamu Alaikum everyone. Today I am going to participate in the fifth week of the Steemit Engagement Challenge in the Traveling Steem community. The thing that has determined us as a challenge this time is My Biggest Travel in 2023. I like traveling very much. Today I am going to discuss in detail about the biggest travel of 2023 through this contest.
I visited my home district with my family in November 2023. My home district is Tangail District of Dhaka Division. Tangail district has palaces of various periods which are still worth visiting. So this time we have planned Tangail Jhelam Dhanbari Nawab Palace. This is where I came first. This Nawab Prasad is a very popular Jagaya in Tangail district of Bangladesh.
There are two very big palaces in the place. On going there, I got to know the person who built two palaces in 1919. And his name is Naban Ali Chowdhury. One was his residence and the other was his court quarters. where he used to hold meetings with various Nawabs among others. Me and my family visited the two palaces. I have loved Rajmahal type palaces since my childhood.
What I found the best part of this trip was seeing the exterior designs of the two palaces, the family portraits of the Nawabs, its long wide corridors, etc. The elaborate palaces of the kings fascinate me. Whenever I wandered around these places, I felt like I wanted to go back to the Nawab's time.
A family photo of the Nawabs.Dhanbari Nawab Palace, Tangail, Bangladesh
You can see the picture of the Nawab family on the right side of me. Below was the photo taken by a photographer from Calcutta, India at the time. There, I had also blocked the pictures of Nawab Ali Chowdhury's wife and daughter separately. Many of the pictures from so many years ago have become blurry and some of them are still good.
Besides, the interior of the palace is more unique to me. Check out this corridor below where there are many rooms lined up. This is the corridor of that Durbar Palace. In the middle of the corridor there is a staircase leading to the roof of the luxurious palace above.
Me and my family members.Dhanbari Nawab Palace, Tangail, Bangladesh
I went with my family on this trip. Like me, my family members also love to visit these Nawab's palaces or old archeological sites. Honestly me along with our family enjoyed visiting the place a lot. And the most interesting thing is the more interest in archeology so I had a lot of fun on this trip.
We didn't have to budget much for this trip. Because my home district is in Tangail district. And the place of my trip is also located in Tangail district. So we toured the entire place in one day. This Dhanbari Nawab Manzil is 8 kms from my home. Then only took the entry free time to enter.
We hire a car first. The car that will take us from our house. And will stay at the specified spot and then will reach our home again. And speaking of food, we did not eat anything heavy, we had light snacks. I have presented below for your convenience the expenses of my trip including Steam prices :
Trip Expenses | Bangladeshi Taka | Steem Price |
---|---|---|
Car Rental | 1200 | 48 Steem |
Entrance Fee to the Palace | 30 (per person) | 1.2 Steem |
Snack | 600 | 24 Steem |

My next trip in 2024.
Next coming year 2024 me and my family plan to visit the Taj Mahal located in Agra. I have been wanting to visit this place for a long time. Taj Mahal in Agra which is located in my neighboring country of India. I suppose the Taj Mahal is one of the most attractive places in the world for me which impresses all guests.
I would like to invite my friends @mdkamran99, @irawandedy, @josephdaniela, @leonciocast to participate in this contest. Click here to go to the contest link.

Hello friend greetings to you. Hope are having good time there.
You have went to Tangail District of Dhaka. Which is your birthplace. There you visited the famous spot Dhanbari Nawab Palace. I can see that place is too beautiful. The historical picture and all these things look too much heart touching.
I really love to go to such beautiful and historical places. I want to connect the things we have read about those places.
I wish you very best of luck here in the contest.
Regards,
Archaeological sites tell us about past history. Earlier there were many such zamindars and rajbaris especially in larger districts. Jhelum Dhanbari Nawab Palace in your district is well preserved. In many places these palaces have been destroyed due to lack of proper maintenance. I think I will go back to the old days and become a king hahahaha. Planning for your next year taj mahal good luck to you.

Congratulations! This post has been voted through steemcurator07. We support quality posts and comments! My father's house is also in Tangail district. A few months ago we all went to visit the Nawab Palace in Dhanbari. The palace is really beautiful and we stayed there for about an hour. Couldn't spend much time there because from there we went to see Yamuna Bridge again. However, as much as I saw the Nawab Palace, I was impressed.
It was a nice trip I see as you enjoyed it, traveling to your home town for a visit and remembering some good old times is necessary as you do.
I have been to this place several times. A pretty good place. This Nawab house is actually very beautiful. It is a traditional place of Tangail district. You have presented us very nicely about your travel and your experiences. The photographs are very beautiful. I wish you all the best.
