My favorite day from the list of days is 18th July Nelson Mandela International Day. I consider Nelson Mandela my role model as a world leader in my life. Today I will present my views through this contest.
Nelson Mandela International Day.
(July 18)
Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was born in South Africa and was the first president to be elected on the basis of fair democratic elections. This day is particularly well known because he was born on this day, July 18. It ended his 27 years in prison and brought peace to South Africa. His aim was to mitigate the divide and rule, apartheid regime and justice in his country. His fight against white supremacy was finally over.
Nelson Mandela was imprisoned by the government for advocating for peace, human rights and equality for black people. Which eventually succeeded in its mission. And because of his special achievements in 2009, the United Nations designated July 18 as the Nelson Mandela International Day.
Similarly in our country we as a nation has the same ideology as Nelson Madela did. Our Hon. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also supported Rohingya’s who were forcefully apartheid on Myanmar. Their President was radical in racism and in religion who were killed and pushed Rohingya Muslims into Bangladesh’s borderlands.
Our homeland also have people with different racial background, religion but never there is a single case who can say Bangladesh has racism to Buddhists, Chakma, or Marma people. Every clan is living peacefully with equality and justice in Bangladesh. Bangladesh even took 1Million Rohingya’s and settled in Cox Bazar migration camp which is under the observation of United Nation.
I would suggest looking into another day and date, International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism 21 August. This day is not only for a specific country but rather it serves the entire world. If history is told accurately then every country is a victim of terrorism and not only that it ended very badly for all. Bangladesh, South Africa, USA, India and many more has different stories about terrorism that it faced still today in modern era. Previously it was for world power and domination but now, it more like a trophy or radical madness found within the society.

I completely agree with you! Nelson Mandela's life and achievements are truly inspiring. He played a pivotal role in bringing about positive change in South Africa through his tireless efforts to end apartheid and promote democracy. His dedication to justice and reconciliation helped unite the nation and bring peace to a once divided country. Mandela's legacy as the first democratically elected president is a testament to the power of perseverance and the importance of fighting for what is right. July 18 holds special significance as it marks both his birthday and the end of his long imprisonment, symbolizing the triumph of hope over adversity. His fight against white supremacy and his commitment to fairness continue to inspire people around the world. Thank you for sharing this important historical perspective!
