Waiting For The Postman’s Knock On World Post Day
Today is the world post day, this day is celebrated to remind the world about the post's role in everyone's life. Once the postal services used to be an important part of communication in the world people used to communicate others through letters and urgent messages used to be sent by telegrams. I remember when I was a teenager my family waiting eagerly for the postman to deliver letters and we were scared when the postman came to deliver telegram(generally people used to send a telegram for illness and death news). In India since the year 1992 when telephone service was easily available for common people and internet available since the year 2000-2001 the role of the post went on decreasing. Today's young generation can't imagine the happiness we used to get when we received letters from friends and relatives. Now the messages, photos, videos are transmitted instantly to any part of the world but I cannot find the happiness what I used to get when I received a letter through the post.
