SEC17/W2| While making decisions, what do you prefer to follow: heart or mind?
So being a newcomer I am trying to create my content in a presentable way but even if something lacks please help me out in correcting the the things .
So now let's come on to the topic of this week's contest which is following heart or mind. For this contest I would like to invite @pathanapsana @roomi and @drhira to talk part.
Making Decisions!
Not all decisions of our life is that easy sometimes it's your decision that makes things changes in your life. And yes definitely there are two kinds of person one is practical another one is emotional, being an emotional person is not that easy as once you are connected with someone else's emotion it's very difficult to let them go.
What is your preference while making decisions heart or mind?
As I am an emotional person I always use my heart instead of using my brain because at the end of the day all I want is sleeping with a light heart without any guilty or fear of missing out something.

But yes there are time we actually have to think and take decisions from our brain instead of using our heart because one has to pay a heavy cost of a decision taken from heart. So I take decisions based on balancing my heart and mind at the same time .
Do you think we need both in terms of making decisions? Describe reasons.
According to me yes we definitely need both heart and mind because every time you can't take decision from your heart specially in decisions were you actually need to be smart like doing investments or buying something where you actually need to see the profits you are gaining from the money or things and for these things one can't be emotional and take decision from heart.
But in places where there is a dispute between choosing career or living your dreams where you are forced to do which you don't want to at that places one can definitely be emotional and take decisions accordingly.
The main reason why one should use both heart and mind is not everywhere you need your brain to take decisions specially in places where you need to save your relationship or solve any family issues. But at the same time there are places where you actually need your brain to calculate the amount of outcome you are getting from the input you are investing in.
Are you an emotional or practical person?
I am an emotional person but I do use my brain sometimes for taking decisions because there are several times when you need to think wisely using your own brain and then take decision.

But yes when it comes to my family, relationship and friends I definitely take decisions from my heart and listen to what my heart actually wants to say though sometimes it leads to wrong decision but at the end of the day I don't carry the bag of grudges.
Do you have any suggestions for youth which one they should follow in their day-to-day lives?
The only decision I want to give to the youth or I can say my friends because even I fall in the category of a 22 year old boy is take decisions from your heart if you are emotional but try not to become an emotional fool because in this world of selfishness sometimes the one who cares more suffers the more and the one who plays wisely at the persons who are always happy.
But yes balance your decision by listening to your heart and your brain at the same time because always your heart can't predict the right thing and same goes with the brain so its necessary to use both for taking decisions.
So this was my contest entry for week 2 of this month hope you people will definitely correct my mistakes as I am still in the learning phase being a newcomer.
You have actually said it all in this post. Actually most of the time also, I will always say making decision can really be difficult most especially when you are in the midst of making crucial and delicate one that will go a long way in our lifes and how we are really shaped. Now what I do I really mean by that, the way we are actually configured, we are made to make use of our brain to make decisions more than making use of our heart.
I will explain what this means in Just a jiffy. There are some decisions that we make that we just calculate quickly to make out of rush which should not be so. We should actually take time to actually make decisions and I mean right decisions in life actually. That is the basis of things actually. We should make wise decisions in life because at the end of the day, whether we like it or not, we are the product of our decisions
And that's why we must be careful the types of decisions we make in life. In some instances I make use of my brain to make decisions and in some instances I make use of my heart to make decisions. It is both interweave and at the end of the day, what that really matters is us making wise and strategic decisions in life that will go a long way in how we actually end up in life. Our decisions shape us and if we are actually taking any decisions that will shape us in life, we must take it in absolutely caution so that we will not make mistakes at the end of the day. That is my own opinion to this

Nice to read your post. You have summed up the topic, all decisions cannot be catagorized as the one from heart or mind. There are few cases where we have to follow heart and in some cases we must follow mind. relationships should be maintained while following heart as there can be feelings sometime which we cannot be justified with reason. At the age of 22 you have good understanding of decision making. Wish you all the best for the contest.

Me atrevería a decir que, el 90% de nuestras decisiones son complicadas y, esto se debe a que, decidir siempre está condicionado a muchos factores que se deben tener en cuenta por lo tanto, aquí es donde la mente y el corazón tienen un rol fundamental y, más allá de querer decidir solo desde una vertiente, hay que aprender a tomar decisiones empleando los dos elementos.

I agree with the importance of balancing heart and mind in decision-making. It's crucial to consider both emotions and logic to make well-informed choices. Finding a balance between the two can lead to more successful outcomes. Youth should learn to navigate this balance in order to make wise decisions in their lives.
