Owerri steemit meetup, it was great
The owerri steemit meet up was great one, it was organised by @eurogee and and the euronation team. the meetup was mind blowing, i couldnt write anything on it yesterdday because i was very tried and dexhausted.
i will just do a little summary on what happend at the meet up yesterday for those people that were not chanced to make it to the meet up.
so many steemians where around for the meetup at owerri and i was also priviledge to meet other great steemians too like @tojukaka, @gloglo, @samstickkz, @ehiboss, @gee1, @nairadaddy, @mimy, @eurogee, @michealcj, @gbenga, @destinysaid, @fistegenous, @Drigwe.
@tojukaka he talked on the differences between steem, steemit and steemit blockchain.
he defined steem as a token platform on steemit.com which is distributed to all the valuable contributors by voting. he also went further by saying steem is a tradeable token that can easily be converted to Ethereum or Bitcoin
he defined blockchain as aledger transaction tthat is been recorded for visibility and transperent reasons.
@gloglo talked about witness education, witness voting and important
she defined a witness as one that is incharge of the witness server which produces blocks and also issue the price of steem/USD to the network.
why should we vote for witness
- they are trusted members of the community
- they keep records and contribute positively to the steem and steemit
- they are well experienced in the cryptocurrency networks and software.
@samstickkz talked about why you should inevst on steemit and joining communities, which will help you in building yourself, create relationship and also help you increase your earning on the blockchain.
@ehiboss lectured us on why you should keep you password very safe and not trusting them with any person or site.
@gee1 talked on smart commenting and relationship, she sited an example using those people that just write Nice post as comment. for you to create a good relatinship on steemit, one of the thing you have to do is to comment on people's post after reading and digesting it, not just to write nice post and all.
Dedrama club also presented a short playlet at the owerri steemit meetup titled The trials of an African Woman
