Describe your country's education system including its structure curriculum teaching methods and key stakeholders.

I'm from Nigeria and I would like to share with everyone on this platform the education system of my dear country Nigeria I hope you will learn something new from it today.

In Nigeria, the educational system is in 4 stages i.e. nursery, primary, secondary, and tertiary education. These are the basic education processes you must pass to become a graduate in Nigeria.

In nursery school, you are taught how to recite ABC-Z i.e. you are taught the letters of the alphabet and the numbers 1,2,3-100. Also, you are taught how to read and write them properly as it is the basis of your journey of learning.

In primary school, you are taught how to read and write starting from 2 letter words to more complex words, and also how to solve mini-problems, this will help you to become stronger and study more when you get to secondary school.

In the secondary, a more complex task is been given to you and you learn more and expand your knowledge as there will be many things that you will be asked to do and many subjects you will be taught. It's a stage of multi-tasking your brain.

Lastly, you go to a university or higher institution where you will focus on a particular field of studies and then study everything you can about the course so that you will know it and even teach others if given the opportunity.

The teaching method used in most Nigerian schools is the demonstration method and interaction method as it is one of the effective ways to pass this knowledge to others.

The major stakeholders of schools and education here in Nigeria are the government and private sectors. As you all know in every country we have government-owned schools and a privately owned school as well. So these two bodies are the major stakeholders of education in my country.

Are you satisfied with your country's education system? Share your reasons why or why not.

The education system in my country is indeed a very good one because if the pattern is followed properly, you will agree with me that a child will become extensively very good and knowledgeable at a very tender age.

The reason I have said so is because of the structure or pattern they use to get students educated. Moving from nursery to primary and secondary to tertiary is indeed a great period to accumulate all the knowledge you will need if you are serious and there are qualified and educated teachers to deliver.

So from the above question, I will say yes I'm very satisfied with the education system of Nigeria and I'm sure that if anyone passes through the process properly he or she will become very knowledgeable.

What reforms would you introduce to improve education in your country? Be innovative and practical in your suggestions.

Despite how good the education system is for me I think that there are reforms that can make it even better for more effective and these reforms are what I want to discuss below.

The world is changing and new trends and technologies are taking the lead at the moment. This means that our schools or education should also change with the trend and how is this possible, this is possible when we adopt the new trend of things.

For school reformation in Nigeria, I will discard the old curriculum that doesn't deal with the present trend and then introduce a new one that deals with the present trend in that way, students will learn a lot of things like cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and many more.

Ideally, a student of secondary school ought to start making money for himself or herself and possibly sponsor him or herself to tertiary institutions and that can be possible only when they know digital skills such as blogging and many more.

I want to finally invite a few friends to also share their participation in this contest today. I invite @steemdoctor1, @suboohi and @msharif.
