Hi steemians,
Welcome to my blog once again. It's already week 2 of the steemit engagement challenge season 8 and I'm delighted to present my entry here. This week we are in for a practical section on reviewing the SteemPro Tools. I have used the tools for a while and I'm happy to share my experience with everyone.
We are going to go through the entire interface of the tools one after the other for better understanding. I do hope to explain it in a very clear manner that everyone will perfectly understand. Without further ado, let's get started.
This is a wonderful tool that encompasses several functionalities of the steemit platform in one place. The tools have the functionalities of mass voting, author reports, community reports, history checkers, curation reports and the abuse watcher portal. A brief description of the above-mentioned function can be seen below.
Mass Voting: This is a process where a user uses the tool to cast votes on multiple accounts at the same time.
Author Report: Here in this section, an author can make a report for a community.
Community Reports: Here in this section, you can check the progress made by the community.
History Checker: Here, you can check your post history
Curation Report: Here you can check your curation history
AW Portal: This is the abuse watcher portal where all forms of abuse are reported and dealt with.
Here in this section, the SteemPro application talks about its function in the steem blockchain and also listed the team founders involved in its production. Let's look at the reference below to learn more about the tool.
SteemPro is the Steem blockchain's decentralized mobile and web app solution. It will allow the end user to perform all broadcast operations easily and securely with some additional benefits. The web version also includes useful tools to analyze the author's progress on this platform.source
The SteemPro application is made by 4 people community namely
@faisalamin who is the core developer,
@rme who is the sponsor and witness,
@blacks who is also a sponsor and witness and finally
@hungry-griffin who is a supporter of the project. The image above shows their picture from the SteemPro website.
To login into this application, you must be a steemit user already. The application is designed in such a way that only those who are registered steemian can login with their username and private posting key. The image below shows the login interface.
Aside from your username and private posting key, another requirement is your password. This password is required to encrypt your private posting key so that no one will have access to your account.
Hence when you fill in the details, you will be required to re-enter your password to be certain you don't forget it. Without full login, you won't be given complete access to the functionalities of the applications.
From the above image, you have columns for voter accounts and private posting keys, vote weight and links column. If you are already logged in as I have done from the above image, you don't need to inputs the voter accounts and private posting keys again. You can only do that if you want to use another account to vote.
A good example is if I have logged in and as the chief moderator of the steemkidss community, I wish to perform mass voting with the account, I have to input the voter accounts and private posting keys. Then I will set the percentage upvote that I will like the post I will be voting to have after which, I will copy all the links and paste them into the link section then I will click start voting.
The image above shows the page for the author's report. Here all steemit users are expected to input their steemit username and the name of the community which they will like to generate the report from. It is important to mention here that the community account name must be in the format hive-139765 else it won't work.
For example, if you want to check your report for the steem kids and parents community, instead of using the community account name which is steemkidss, you have to use hive-139765 because using steemkidss won't work as the platform has been program by default to work in this manner of name I.e hive-139765.
From the image above, I have checked my author report and as you can see, I have 3 posts in the community with 23 comments and 24 unique comments, this report can be exported as a CSV file or copied as a markdown.
From the image above, we can see the community report and what it looks like. All you need to do is input the community account name in the format hive-139765 and then click get report. A chart carrying the activities in the community will display and the names of users posting in the community will be seen below as well.
The chart will contain posts, comments and uniqueness as seen in the image above and the table below it carries names of authors, posts comments and uniqueness. It tells you how many posts a particular author has that has not yet paid out in the community.
The image above shows content history. If you made a post and you want to know the exact time and date you made this post, all you need is to copy the post link and paste it in the space provided as you can see in the image above. The data of the post will display in the format Sat Feb 25, 2023, 03:55:12 GMT+0100 (West Africa Standard Time) this depends on your zone I guess.
The data above include the day of publication, the date, the exact time and the zone I'm writing from. As we all know, the steemit platform will only you that this post for instance was made 3 months ago but the SteemPro tools as we have seen told us exactly the time and date of the publication.
From the image above, all you need is to enter a username and then click on get report. The information about the curation activities of the user will display as seen in the above image. The chart talks about the count I.e vote given out on different dates and the table presents us with the date, author, link and weight of votes given.
The last part I will be talking about today is the abuse watcher portal. This part is made up of 4 sub-sessions namely plagiarism/spam report, content/identity lookup, content/identity verification and report author/content. Here in this section, anything that has to do with abuse in the platform is reported and verification is done by the platform.
General Overview of the SteemPro Tools |
In summary, the tool has a user-friendly interface which is very easy to navigate and use also it possesses many distinct features which differentiate it from other tools. It also handles data in a very fast and speedy way and I haven't seen any problem with it at the moment. From the login phase, it has a password which helps to encrypt your private posting key which means your data is secured.
The development team also hope for critics from different users to improve the application. For the main time, I have found this tool very useful and I will be using it to perform some tasks from now henceforth. The only issue I have currently with the allocation is that there is no suggestion column provided such that if a user finds issues or wants to recommend anything he/she can go ahead and do that.
The SteemPro tool is an important tool developed to help steemians get more information easier and faster. We have seen how the basic functionalities of the application work and it have even provided more data than some of the steemit tools we have been using.
In my opinion, a tool is an excellent tool and I recommend it to all steemians. I want finally invite a few friends to join the contest if they have not presented their entries. I call on
