Successful offline and online meetups here in Nigeria
Hi steemians,
I'm delighted to announce the successful meetup that was held here in Nigeria on 11/02/2023. This meetup was initially announced by our dear country representative in the person of @ngoenyi about a month ago. We have been working towards seeing that it is a success.
I'm delighted to announce the successful meetup that was held here in Nigeria on 11/02/2023. This meetup was initially announced by our dear country representative in the person of @ngoenyi about a month ago. We have been working towards seeing that it is a success.
Though, due to some reasons she handed the entire thing to mam @goodybest who is also a respected country representative. The meetup kick-started at exactly 4 pm Nigeria Time in the different zones like the Akwa Ibom zone, Nasarawa Zone, Kaduna/Zaria Zone etc. We had an offline meeting and discuss the following with steemians around our areas.
Encouraging both old and new Steemians to remain active.
Explaining the engagement challenge to all and the need to take part in it
Power up and club status
Steemit promotion in our cities
Our plans to reactivate roadshows
Taking advantage of available mentors and keeping up-to-date
Avoid steeming in isolation, we Steem better by learning from others.
Air your concerns and challenges.
During the discussion, we talked about better ways to ensure we sustain the steemians here in Nigeria most especially those joining us newly. For these, I suggested that steemians hold regular meetings within their regions at least once every week whereas we will try to hold the national meetup meetings at least once every month.
I also advised that instead of a road show, we should organise a seminar to guide new users in-depth about the platform because I have encountered people that said they have signed in before but didn't understand how the entire system worked so they left. I also use the example of what we are currently doing here in Nasarawa as an example for others to follow.
During the online meetup, we got encouragement from @ngoenyi, @fredquantum and @goodybest. They all emphasised that we should continue pushing hard because success comes only when you don't give up. They also advised all the city coordinators to always support their recruits with valuable comments and upvotes to encourage them to continue blogging.
Here in Nasarawa, the people present in the physical meetup are seen in the image above. The online meetup didn't start on time hence a lot of them left. Myself, @josepha, @dave-hanny and @obiking stayed till the end of the meeting and it was indeed an amazing section in which I too learnt a lot from other great steemians in the house.
The meetup was indeed a success because we were able to achieve all that we have as agenda. The discussion was lively and different questions were also asked. Answers were given to all asked questions and everyone was very satisfied with the section. I will like to invite a few other steemians to also look at our activities and try to do the same in their region. I invite @stef1, @wilmer1988, @fantvwiki, @malikusman1 and @lavanyalakshman.
we invite you to support @pennsif.witness for growth across the whole platform through robust communication at all levels and targeted high yield developments with the resources available.
