Hayek and the "spontaneous order"

Frederich Hayek is probably the highest exponent of the so-called Austrian School of Economics, recognized within liberalism for having developed a theory of economic "action" and not "no action" or "economic equilibrium" that is the basis of the neoclassical approach dominant of almost all business schools.

However, Hayek expressly distinguishes between two types of orders: the created and the spontaneous. As an example of the first Hayek cites companies, governments, families, armies and all those organizations that are structured on the basis of specific orders issued by an identifiable authority, while a spontaneous order is "uncreated" and it lacks origin and purpose.

The paradigmatic example of spontaneous order is society itself, this being understood as an interweaving of human relationships in which a large number of individuals are integrated. For Hayek, spontaneous means "not deliberate", for not being capable of full knowledge on the part of any observer, since every observer is inserted in the social order and there is no way to observe this social order unless it is introduced into it. Therefore, all social order has a complexity greater than that of the minds of the individuals that make it up, and that is how it is said, "uncreated", because it is "insusceptible" to be designed by an intelligence that rests on that same order.

We can then think of business as an interconnected model of competitors (which are companies of created order) that is taking shape as guided by a fractal algorithm, with the characteristics of a spontaneous order to form an industrial sector, which has an intelligence of higher order than the intelligence of each company that composes it separately, in the same way that a beehive has an intelligence superior to that of a bee, an anthill has an intelligence superior to that of an ant and the human brain has an intelligence superior to that of a neuron.

The Internet also has an intelligence superior to each of the computers connected to the network, but it is better not to think about this, since the results can be chilling as shown by films such as TERMINATOR, MATRIX and others.

And what about the cryptocurrencies ecosystem?
