Reasons why upvote4upvote don't work here on Steemit

Introduction

This like4like might work out in other social media networks like Facebook, Instagram, etc. However, the same concept is a failure in Steemit and will piss a lot of people resulting them in flagging people who follows this technique.

Why it works on other networks?

Technically speaking in other social media networks you won't get paid for any likes you receive, so basically the role of the like function is it just shows someone's popularity. And its unlimited and doesn't cost anything extra.

Why does it not work on Steemit?

First of all, upvote means money, whenever a post gets upvote it is rewarded with Steem & SBD currency which can later be exchanged for other form of currency. But the fact is not all upvote has the same value.

Have you ever noticed why if this certain person's upvote gives a reward of $5 and why some other user's upvote can give $10 and while another user's upvote makes no reward at all?

If we take the example of a Facebook like, one like is just one like no matter who is liking you content, but on Steemit things are different, if a whale upvotes a post, the reward is much bigger compared with a minnow. Its the game of Steem Power. Those who have bigger Steem Power will give bigger reward when they upvote a content, whereas someone with less Steem Power will give lesser rewards.

That's why.. if someone with Steem Power of 20 Steem says hey I upvoted your post now you upvote my post to a person with 50,000 Steem Power, the equation is not same at all. Trading happens when what you are giving for something you want from the other person both serves equal value. But here when talking about upvotes, your upvote doesn't have the same value compared with another person. Everyone has different amount of Steem Power and so the amout of reward is not the same.

This is why, when a new Steemit user goes on and say to a whale that he upvoted the whale's post now the whale should upvote his post in return. This just doesn't work at all, rather is pisses the whale to a certain degree that instead of upvoting, the whale flags the person asking for the upvote. But if you have the same Steem Power as the other person & you just don't want to self-vote then its a good idea to offer someone with similar Steem Power to exchange upvotes because its a good way to avoid being detected bye the self-voter identifying radar.

Then how to get upvotes?

The best way is to forget about getting votes, and instead focus on creating quality contents and provide some valuable information in your post which will be beneficial for the people and overall to the community, when you start making something so great then there won't be any need to ask others to upvote for you, they will upvote on their own. Thats why I suggest focus on creating better blogs, articles, videos, audios etc etc using your talent and not just copy pasting things from somewhere. The more effort you put in your work the better you will see improvements and the greater reward you will start earning. So stop begging and start working.
