Hello Steemit
Hello,
I am a student currently finishing up his senior year in high school. I am planning on going into Mechanical Engineering in my future and am looking forward to what the future holds. I play the violin and also in the process of learning computer programming specifically C++ as well as Python. I also recently became an Eagle Scout I might in the future make a post about that. I have had a Steemit account for a little while but have posted until today. I am also currently enrolled in a course called AP research where I do a year long research project. I am currently looking for participants in my survey so if you are interested in participating I have a more detailed blog here: https://steemit.com/solarpanels/@skyr0ck3t/solar-panel-research
I also have a very ambitious goal to visit as many world countries in the world as I can. The reasoning first is traveling is really fun, and the seconds main reason why is would like to see a unique piece of every country travel to. I have already been quite a few places in the Unites States thus far, and plan to keep traveling as long as I can. I plan on doing more detailed travel posts in the future, but for now here are some places I've been to.
Yellowstone Canyon || Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
Yellowstone National Park is an amazing park located in 3 United States. This park really deserves its own post so I will do that on a later date but here is one of my favorite parts which is pictured above. Yellowstone Canyon can be viewed from many angles but I recommend viewing it from the upper falls, lower falls and then finally Inspiration point.
Glacier Lake Trail || Glacier National Park, Montanta
Glacier National Park is located in Northern Montana and features amazing scenery. I will have a more detailed post on this park in the future but above is a view on the Glacier Lake trail. This trail is one of the most amazing trails that I have been on both in the destination and the journey. The trail ends at a partially frozen lake (depends on season). Some people jumped into this practically freezing lake. I felt the water in this like and it is by far the coldest water I have ever been in. The trail is a really good and I would recommend to anyone trying to travel to this part of the country. Note before you travel to this area of the country take into account the winter months. Many parts of both this park and in Yellowstone are closed in winter so double check the National Park website before you travel to these parks.
Awesome Dunes || Great Sand Dunes National Park, Colorado
Sand Dunes National Park is a gem in south central Colorado. The dunes cover a large area and to see them in the middle of what seems to be a sort of plateau of sorts is very unusual. When you begin to head towards the park for the you can see the dunes from miles away. When I went I stayed in Alamosa, a pretty interesting little town around 40 minutes southwest of the entrance to the park. The coolest part of this park however is the sledding. Yes I did just say sledding. At a local shop near the entrance to the park you can actually rent sand sleds. Before going on this trip I had no idea this was actually something that you could do. Note: this park contains a lot of sand prepare to bring home sand. I still have some sand in my boots I had still have some sand and that was quite a number of years ago.
Nice to meet you.
