The Cook Islands have some of the best gardens in world.No matter where you go within the country you will see people tending to their gardens almost daily. Nearly every home will have a luxurious garden filled with an abundance of color, plenty variety of fruits and amazing aroma.
Hotels and motels also go to extremes to surround visitors with great beauty and lessons are passed out to visitors describing the flower or plant and in some cases how the plant or flower can be used as an alternative to certain medicines.
Not only is the Islands a beauty to behold with stunning sunsets and sunrises and with the beauty of the sea extending out to the horizon, and the mountain backdrop behind you, but you are surrounded by stunning flora. You only need to look out one's window to see a dazzling a ray of vibrant colors and to smell the pleasant aromas! Many plants and flora to this day are still used in tradition perfumes.
Cook Islanders take great pride in their gardens!
