The homeless meal went well today in spite of the heat index!

The heat index was hundred and four today, we did have some clouds', and we've fed about 300 people.

Everyone ate real well!

Lots of cold drinks we're real helpful and everybody did well. We only had one person with heat problems, and it was one of our workers. We had him lay down and put a cold rag on his head and he was fine.

These are the drinks we passed out a lot of them!

The line was unusual this time. We saw shorter line than usual to begin with but the line just kept coming. They had decided to come some of them 30 minutes later so they didn't have to stand in the line in the heat and it worked quite well.

We let them pick what they want to eat we make sure that they leave with both hands full!

My people hung in real well with me today and serve everyone in spite of the Heat. I was really proud of them! They serve food like professionals, not bad for volunteers!

We did have some odd generator problems today. I think some of the amateurs are hooking up the roasters; may have hooked up too many in one spot. But we managed to work through it kept everything heated got the food all served out!

I was clumsy this morning I managed to swap hot liquid all over my right forearm. The beginnings of pretty bad burn. First time I've done this in 6 years so, so it was because I was just not paying attention!

But I did manage to get cold water on it immediately and add comfrey and lavender oil to the burn and I only ended up with one small blister instead of the whole forearm.

But overall it was a very good trade a lot of people ate well today. We had some new volunteers today that have committed to come back, so we're gaining volunteer strength!

Overall a really good day in spite of the arm!
