TRAVELLOG #5: Tuscany in Italy - Nature and Lagoon at Night and Day - PLUS 4K Drone Footage
Hello and welcome to my fifth travellog in a row.
As you already may know :-) my girlfriend and I visited recently Tuscany in Italy for the second time during our vacation. Italy and especially Tuscany is one of our favorite places for summer holidays, by night at the lagoon
or in the evening at the beautiful seaside.
But Also awesome at noon in bright daylight :-)
Here you can find so many beautiful spots
and lot of sights, like the castle
Rocca Aldobrandesca in the city of Talamone
and many, many other historic places.
We love the beautiful nature here
and of course the the mediterranean sea to swim
or to be lazy and relax at the beach.
The delicious food and the lovely people here are really awesome. They definitely know how to live. The credo here is «La dolce vita». You can get coffee and sweet little bits everywhere,
and it is not expensive at all:-)
Also delightful lunch and dinner could be found everywhere.
The Camping Village Orbetello where we stayed this year is located on a spit of land, on the other side of a beautiful lagoon.
As you can see on the small map, the city of Orbetello is somehow surrounded by the lagoon and from one side is reachable by a long bridge. Orbetello was an ancient Etruscan settlement, which in 280 BC passed under the control of the Romans, who had founded their colony of Cosa (near the modern Ansedonia). In the Middle Ages it was a possession of the Aldobrandeschi family, who held it until the 14th century. In the following centuries Orbetello was captured by the Sienese Republic. In the mid-16th century it was part of the State of Presides, a Spanish possession, becoming its capital. Later it was under the Grand Duchy of Tuscany and, from the late 19th century, the newly unified Kingdom of Italy. In 1927–33, Italo Balbo's "air cruises" started from Orbetello's lagoon.
From bird's view I captured the lagoon from one side in this selfshot drone clip, after some scenes taken at a nearby lake.
Here are some more photos from the lagoon by night.
It is a very calm place in the evening hours
and we enjoyed the sunset very much.
The city Orbetello is also fun to visit.
You can find a lot of restaurants, bars and shops
to buy some stuff like odorless yankee candles,
clothes or souvenirs or to enjoy a good pizza.
It is also fun to strive through the small streets.
Some other little cities like for example Porto Santo Stefano, which we visited several times, are located near the lagoon and the surrounding countryside.
Here you can find also several very good bars and restaurants and a nice habour.
I hope you enjoyed this post,
My intention is to deliver high quality footage and therefore I carefully select all photos, video sequences and music to portray the beautiful visited places, as I would like to preserve them in my memory.
All photos and videos are selfshot with an Samsung NX500 camera with kit lense (16-50mm) and DJI Phantom 4 Pro.

Hello @sniffbiff your photography is stunning especially the sunset view
Enjoyed the #VIDEO with the Piano music.
And watching the greenery/scenery !
As to #Photography, prefer the 2nd, 5th, 6th & 7th pics the Best (of the ones above the video); then, below the video, I like the first several the best - though those ones of bldg's. are nice -- mainly because the luminous light in the photos is exemplary !
There is a 'glow' about those 4 PHOTOS below your video.
And the image w/ the Upside Down #umbrellas is a cool scene.
KEEP UP The Good Work. ♥♥
Thank you so much for this kind and detailed comment!
