Life
I was going through my feed on Steemit and an Ecotrain post came up where they had to answer a question. That question was: What is the one negative experience in your life from which you extracted a positive lesson and used it to shape your life and self for the better?
It's a HUGE question. A deep thinking question. So I thought about it and thought and thought.
Then I remembered a conversation I had with a very good friend, that I worked with, years ago. Someone at our workplace was having major life problems, so much so, that it was affecting their attitude at work, which in turn affected all of us that had to work with this person daily.
As my friend was complaining to me about the situation, I made the true comment that they had not had an easy life and to give them some time to deal with the issue and things will go back to normal.
He then made the comment that has stuck with me from then on. He said to me that I had had a very hard life and I never complain about it and that I was always happy and helpful to people.
In less then a blink of an eye I said back to him: "I have not had a hard life! what are you talking about?"
He then proceeded to list off my hard life!
1. You got married at 19 to an abusive man and left him 6 months later.
2. You were a single Mother, held down a full-time job in an all-male department and never used the "women" card once and had your own apartment.
3. You have had 4 back surgeries.
4. You had endometriosis so bad that it resulted in numerous surgeries, finally ending with having a hysterectomy before you were 40.
5. Need I really go on?
Within a blink of an eye, I said: "Well if you say it like THAT it does sound bad BUT all those things add up to my life and made me the person I am today and I like the person I have become!"
This all happened about 10 years ago........before I got Fibromyalgia and all the other things that go along with it like chronic pain, brain dead days (fibro fog) and the list goes on and on.
So the real question is: What happened to the person that took life-changing things in stride? What IS it about Fibromyalgia that can fell a person that saw only the good in her life?
I need to find her again as she is needed now more than ever.
Much Love,
Snook
Snook always reminds me of a very arty yearly publication with similar name, might be snoek also, not sure. It is a bit based on vampy pictures of women, this 1984 picture could have been front page :-)
I also never heard about fybromyalgia and would like to know more, a little post on it would be appreciated. Much love beautiful one.

Thank you @eco-alex for the question as it REALLY made me think and brought to light how different my thinking has become. Harsh is a perfect word to describe everyday life now for me but I will survive as long as I keep learning and you have helped with that so I thank you for that!!
Great post! I am glad you became the person you are today, because you are patient with your friends, and love them no matter what!!! Love the pictures, and the heart!
Thank You <3
