Want To Spend Your Time On Facebook? Try These Other Activities Instead!

in #humor6 years ago (edited)

Ok, I couldn't help it! I said I was taking a break, and then I get this idea, and I have to run with it! So let's just call this a break from my break, so I can share this post. To continue saving my voting power, I regret that I won't be upvoting any comments, but I will respond to them. I'm not a bad person, I swear!!!

I'm not on Facebook very often. I still have my account for the few valued family members and friends I follow there. Do you notice the same things as I do, when you look at your feed?

I see:

  • The same recycled political memes over and over again
  • People complaining about petty issues
  • Saccharin inspirational sayings
  • A lot of selfies
  • The same recycled humorous memes, over and over again
  • There's always that one person whose post is cloaked. She says, "I can't believe this is happening to me!" or "FML" or "I am so done!" and that's it! Then she doesn't answer people who ask about it in the comments.
  • Then there are the "hit like if you believe in Jesus!" or "If you don't share this post about a person with cancer, you are an evil heartless cow chip!"
  • Did I mention memes?

I think I've seen this one over a dozen times.

And of course you have to like it if you're happy he's coming home. By the way, he's not home yet?? I saw this 2 years ago!!

Thank you for sharing... Made my day. 🤗🌹

Haha so glad you liked it @saffisara! I could've kept going, but the list was already pretty long. 😂Thanks for stopping by! ❤

Ohh it's been so long since I've licked a nine volt!
I'm so damn lucky I don't have a Fakebook acct.

Trust me, you're not missing anything by not having it @thoughts-in-time! 😂

I was just thinking along the same lines as this. I think by far the worst is all the political crap all over facebook.. and all the people banging their heads against their echo chambers.. Great suggestions of things to do instead of facebook!

Yeah, the political stuff is the worst! People can get into pretty vile arguments over it too! Thanks @fiftysixnorth!

Oh yes, sometimes lifelong friendships are lost too. My parents have been good friends with a couple in Alabama for the last 40 years, then one day my dad commented (during the last presidential elections) that he didn't think Trump's behaviour was very Christian-like and they got so mad about it, they're not speaking anymore.
It's just not worth it.

Wow, sorry to hear that @fiftysixnorth. I noticed that this last election tore up many friendships on Facebook.

Yeah, its probably the most divisive one in a very long time.

It's been two years now and he's still not home. Even if it was by ship he shoudda been home by now. The one's I detest most are those that go like, " If you don't do this, something bad is going to happen in your family ", then I'll be like, fine then I'm not going to do it.

I agree, even if he walked, he should've been home lol!
