IDEAS FOR ENHANCING THE STEEMIT INTERFACE AND USER EXPERIENCE
Greetings, everyone.
It's been a few years in the Steemit social networking platform. I have wonderful journey here. From my little adventure on steemit, I study that A little enhancement of the user-interface can be great for the evolution of the Steem blockchain. I am going to share some of my ideas that can be visually engaging.
"Upvote" is an encouragement for the bloggers on steemit. The downvote is the opposite of the upvote. The downvote is used to control the abusive activities on this beautiful platform. Downvote helps us to fight against plagiarism, phishing link, hate speech, reward farming and adult content.
There is no doubt that downvoting can assists to secure the platform. But some users are misusing the downvote preference. A user can own a massive amount of sp on Steemit, which means he can cast a substantial amount of downvotes according to his sp and he can use downvotes to halt the reward of the abusers and secure the platform.
But when the downvote misapplied in the post that was supposed to be not downvoted, then it seems to be an outcome of an aggressive act and this misconduct can develop a negative impression about this beautiful environment. We learned from the post of dear @rme Dada that, Aggressively downvoting posts is not a solution and we can guide the users who are making faults. But, when a user gets downvotes without any reason the user will lose the courage to share his content on this wonderful platform.
Many users have misused downvotes because they have huge power. It may also be that they are aggressively using downvotes due to personal grudges. As it can create a negative impact, the "downvote" option can be updated by making it confidential or making it more effective. In my opinion, the "Downvote" option should just be available for the Steemit Team or a team like Bangla.witness who is willing to keep this platform secure. Then users will not be able to change the downvote policy for their interest.
