The Diary Game: 26.04.2026 | A Safe Return After a Long Journey

Today we had planned to return home from my uncle’s house. I woke up quite early in the morning because we needed to start our journey back to our hometown. After freshening up, I had a light breakfast instead of a heavy one, as we had a long journey ahead. By the grace of Allah, the weather was not too hot today, which made everything feel more comfortable.

I really like the environment at my uncle’s house. Every time I have to leave this place and return to the town, I feel a sense of attachment and wish I could stay there for a few more days. After saying goodbye to everyone, we started our journey towards Tangail Railway Station.

We crossed the river and changed vehicles several times along the way. After about three hours of travel, we reached the station around noon. After waiting there for a while, our train finally arrived. Before boarding, I bought a cold drink for 20 taka.

There were quite a few empty seats on the train, which made the journey more comfortable. My father and I had our lunch on the train. I was sitting by the window, and since the sky was cloudy, the cool breeze made the weather feel a bit chilly. Later in the afternoon, I even wore a full-sleeve shirt to stay warm.

The train was quite delayed today. Because of multiple crossings with other trains, it could not reach on time. However, I really enjoyed the natural beauty around the railway stations along the way. The train stopped for a long time at Santahar Railway Station, and during that break, I got down and had a cup of tea.

Finally, around 9 p.m., we reached our hometown. After getting down, we went to a pharmacy to buy some medicine and then returned home. At home, I talked with my mother, freshened up, and after some time, had my dinner. It was a long day full of travel, but Alhamdulillah, we returned home safely.
