Some photos of my last trip a couple summers ago to Canada to visit my grandmother.

Nova Scotia. One of Canada's most traditional provinces on the Atlantic ocean. Where the old maritime feel is still thriving. It's such a nice to place to spend a holiday. The air is clean the seafood is top quality world class fresh from crystal clear waters.

This harbour is mostly for lobster fishing form what I can tell but rumors of Blue Fin tuna catches could be heard coming from the mist. It as such a gloomy day and the rain drizzled non stop but the air still felt fresh and cool. I missed it for too long.

Wouldn't it be nice to live there over looking the sea. I never lived by the shoreline so whenever I visit I love to watch the boats come and go.

When my grandfather died he got a bench with an amazing on hill under a lighthouse. A small park for picnics and watching whales and ships pass by.

Brave fox that was living under my grandmother porch since she moved into town as she got older. She had cubs under there too which annoyed my grandmother because she couldn't chase them away now and they would probably just get more comfortable.

During the off season for lobster walls and walls of traps are lined up along the docks. These ones are modern and use plastic chicken wire instead of the traditional string I am used to seeing.

And of course the classic lost buoy lost and washed up on the rocks.

And that's the rural area around a small town called Anitgonesh in Nova Scotia Canada.

Wow I've never seen a live fox before. That's pretty effin cool. I traveled to New Brunswick and Halifax when I was younger. The seafood is the best. Halifax had a very...cozy or homey feel to it. The architecture for the homes is a bit different than in the west. Now I want some steak and lobster.

Oh nice you;ve out to eastern Canada, it gives all those feelings. Whereabouts you from? And this summer when I go home I'm getting a steak and lobster.

I'm from British Columbia. While I really appreciate the nature we have, I enjoyed the slow easy life in the Maritimes. I also managed to pop over to Newfoundland but that was in the dead of winter. The people there are so friendly and welcoming. How about you? Where are you from?

It is a great post with good information.. thanks for sharing it... keep it up!!!

As a Canadian, I have to say, Canada is awesome! Looks like you had a great trip
