Combating Abuse In DeepPoints, Changes Have Come To Deep Onion Forum
The launch of DeepPoints in the Deep Onion forum was a success. DeepPoints is system wherein a member can be rewarded with points according to his activity in the Deep Onion forum. Many activities that a member does like posting, liking a post, creating a new thread, commenting on profiles and others give that member points. These DeepPoints can then be converted to Deep Onion coins every Sunday.
After the first DeepPoints airdrop, it was obvious to many that real money can be made using DeepPoints. Where there is potential for monetary gain for such a simple activity, many people will try to take advantage of it and abuse the system. The second week of DeepPoints showed just that. Some new and old members started farming for DeepPoints. The system was turned inside out to make the most points in the shortest time possible. Some members used female pictures and profiles to lure others into liking their posts more. Some started sending messages to other members to follow them to gain more points. Some even followed so many people in the forum so those will also follow them back in return, to gain even more DeepPoints. Some started liking every post you make so you can be enticed to like theirs as well. Some took advantage of bugs in the system by copy-pasting entire Wikipedia articles to gain a lot of word counts and therefore more DeepPoints. It was a mad rush to gain DeepPoints to get more Deep Onion coins.
What was surprising in all these was the speed in which the developers and moderators controlled the situation. Day by day, changes were being introduced in DeepPoints. Points were deducted in certain activities that they saw were the source of many abuses. Likes were restricted as well. Those who were blatantly abusing the DeepPoints were banned from the forum and some were reprimanded with suspensions or reset of their accumulated DeepPoints to zero.
At the time of this writing, just on the third week of DeepPoints, everything is now under control. Positive change has come to DeepPoints and everyone will benefit now that the abusers have been kicked out.

There is changes now to the DeepPoint system more often because some always find their way around the system. The developer and the team are working hard against those who created new account in the aim of just take advantage of the DeepDomination task.
Kudos to the DO team, they are very active and they worth it.
There will always be people who will try to game the system if monetary value is involved. What's good though is that the mods and devs ofthe DeepOnion community is vigilant enough to prevent such schemes. They have made a really good system in rewarding members of the community for active participation.
