Cuckoo time again. Almost.

It's cuckoo time again. Almost.

I could have sworn I heard the cuckoo's song a few times already, briefly and in the distance.
A song that silenced the monotonous and annoying cooing of the Eurasian collared doves in the garden.

There is no cuckoo in our garden, this bird is obviously somewhere far away, although its song is clear and loud in the yard.

Perhaps you will say that it is too early now, that the time of the cuckoo song has not yet come, that I am only imagining what I am hearing, only because I wish so, that it is not real...

But this year everything is happening very early, way before its real time. Since the tulips have already bloomed and faded, since the poppies have already appeared in the garden, why not the cuckoo?

And yes, I need it, its soothing song, the song of eternal and inevitable life.

It is like that rural picture with a horse, a tree and a sunset - a personification of impermanence that has a soothing effect.

Life is what it is. Unchangeable, inevitable. Nothing more.

steem.jpgSoul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you.

Personally, I am a sensitive soul with a strong sense of justice.
Traveling and photography are my greatest passions.
Sounds trivial to you?
No, it's not trivial. Because I still love to travel to not so famous destinations.🗺️
Of course, the current situation does not allow me to do this, but I still find a way to satisfy my hunger for knowledge, new places, beauty and art.
Sometimes you can find the most amazing things even in the backyard of your house.😊🧐🧭|

Sort:

I haven't heard a cuckoo yet. But we have several magpies, blackbirds (or thrushes), pigeons, tits and sparrows in the garden. Some of them have even built a nest and raised fledglings.
So there is quite a lot of chirping to be heard. :-)

Hi, I power up everything I get, but I have to wait for 3 months to pass, to be eligible to use this tag, is that what you are telling me? It seems I didn't understand the concept behind these tags.

Yes, since two months you have powered everything that comes in, but you have to wait the three months to be able to use the 100% tag, you currently belong to the club75. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you very much.
