Trees are easy to draw convincingly owing to the inherent chaos in their forms. You'll never ever get anything perfect. A drawing is just a representation of a thing - it can never be that thing.

Though, if you're drawing on paper, that drawing is a drawing of a thing, on a thing, that was once that very thing.

Good food for thought. :)

Greetings, @soyrosa. It may be simpler than you think. A good observer may come up with just the right amount to branches to highlight and then some technique to provide for the endless ramifications.
The human eye can be easily fooled.
The important thing beyond the similarity to the actual tree is your vision, concept or idea and the passion or intensity you put in it.
It will show.

I love branches against bleak ashen skies I usually take the same kind of photos, the more intriate the better, sometimes I use Chinese ink and try to mimic and spend time blowing and blowing little branches out of ink, it's never the same... I could never have the patience to draw that either

Thank you so much for participating the Partiko Delegation Plan Round 1! We really appreciate your support! As part of the delegation benefits, we just gave you a 3.00% upvote! Together, let’s change the world!

If you draw a tree, thinking about it as fractal may be of some use. Just guessing really.

Amazing to witness the beauty that lies with imperfection!

Trees are complicated to draw and generally you can only do a simplified version. I personally love painting palm trees, but the ones in your picture are difficult to do for me too. I always keep trying though ahaha it’s frustrating

Talking about painting trees I always have to think about 1 specific guy...😇

Bob Ross or let's paint some happy trees

Painting trees ain't the hardest thing to do, but it really depends on how mucht time and detail you would want to spend for drawing 1 happy tree?
