Bitcoin Is Still In The Lunatic Phase

in #bitcoin7 years ago

I just had an interesting conversation at work with a couple of colleagues. One is a person that has done fairly well through conventional investments (stocks, bonds, property etc) and is an engineer where I work, Let's call him A. The other is a person who even though she's perfectly nice to be around, isn't the most intelligent person I've ever been introduced to, let's call her C.

When I was talking about Bitcoin and how it's gone through the roof recently the response from both of them was interesting. A said that it's interesting technology but not something he'd be willing to risk money on at this stage. C said that it was doomed to failure and that there is no way that it will be successful in our lifetime. Even when I told C that I missed out on a massive investment opportunity because I've been following it since it's early years she still insisted that it can't replace what she called 'real money'.

It really is interesting to see that it is her that doesn't understand what real money is. So this got me thinking, with normal people, some of them quite intelligent still saying that Bitcoin isn't worth looking at after the recent price hikes, we must still be in the lunatic phase of adoption.

Whether it is BTC, ETH, LTC or whatever it is that you think will be most successful, I think that buying and holding is going to pay off for all who have done proper research and understand how the world could change in just the next couple of years.

We are the same as the crazy people that bought Shares in Apple in the 2005, and we all know how that went don't we?
