A Hidden “Misty Jiangnan” of Bridges and Flowing Water in Beijing
In my imagination, Jiangnan is a place of slanting winds and drizzling rain,
willows veiled in mist along long embankments,
gliding on a small wooden boat through a tender waterside town—
a world steeped in poetry and endless romance.
Yet in Beijing, one can encounter the same enchanting misty Jiangnan.
Gubei Water Town in summer is simply breathtaking.
Verdant hills and clear waters, stone bridges and slender boats—
every corner carries the quiet elegance of Jiangnan,
every scene unfolds like a living landscape painting.
No matter where you point the camera, the images come alive effortlessly.
This time, the rain arrived just in time,
and in that soft drizzle, the true spirit of misty Jiangnan revealed itself.
