Introduction

The celebration was over, then comes preparations to return. There is not a time I'm to travel that I don't have something to prepare for. Reason is just that my mum always have a message to send wherever you are traveling to especially if it's family is involved.

Morning

It was a beautiful morning. I woke and was on my personal devotion before mum came to knock to call me for the family's devotion.

I didn't have the luxury of going back to bed or inside my room to chill because my younger brother and sister had returned to school to prepare for exams. I was left with my youngest brother and then my parents, so I had to prepare breakfast early for my dad who was going to work that morning.

After making breakfast and other little house chores, I began to list out the things I needed to do in preparation for my return back to Jos.

It's going to be a big preparation as it involves my elder brother who didn't make it home for the christmas and New Year's celebration and also for his resumption to school.

Each of us were given a chicken by my mum😋😁, meaning that I have two chicken to prepare, rice to clean because it's a local one then my clothes and my parents clothes to wash.

It was going to be a very busy day for me still I lack the ginger to achieve them. So I decided to go a step at a time and at my pase.

So I began with the chicken

My brother had the biggest chicken because of his absence during the festive period.

I began by putting water on fire that will be used to remove the feathers of the chicken which I did after the chicken was slaughtered. I then piecesed, wash, boil, spiced then fried it.

Then the rice
It's a local rice, so I had to blow it to remove some chaff and pick some particles of it then packaged.

Afternoon

Over to washing

I was Afternoon already, and washing in the afternoon is never a nice experience but I had to so that my journey will be on the day I planned.

Omo, I washed and got tired. I know from my within that I was taken too much time on it but I couldn't help it.

In between washing I had to cook so that my brother will take to my mum at the shop.

Evening

The washing reached the evening time after which I cooked, took my bath.

I was chilling with my phone, while eating and resting.
With all the stress, I couldn't still sleep so early. I waited till 10pm for NEPA light so that I could arrange one or two things but u was disappointed by NEPA. So I had to sleep. Though the light came some hours later said my mum in the morning, but I was so tired to notice.

Conclusion

I was glad I could achieve all this even when I had no motivation from the beginning. I would also say, music helped in keeping me going.
