Wheels Festival 2017 - Great Yarmouth (Car/Bike Photographs)
The family and I took a trip to Great Yarmouth last weekend for the Great Yarmouth Wheels festival. It was great to see so many people supporting the event including some 5000 bikers. We didn't get to see everything on display as we took our daughters on their pushbikes as we had to park quite a way from town; their bikes and crowds don't mix! The event was also a good excuse for me to test my new camera, a Canon EOS6D. I've been using a third hand 5D for a few years now so I thought I'd treat myself to an upgrade.
Anyway, here are a few piccies of our day out.
Beautiful Ford GT 40
I loved this old American Chevrolet Van
I've not tried panning in a good few years ... here's my somewhat shabby attempt to take a snap through the crowds.
I loved the speedometer in this car. I think it was an old Ford.
These are a 90's British Classic and the cars that really got me excited. I can't tell you how much I'd love one of these! The Lotus Carlton. 377bhp from a 3.6L 24v straight 6 with twin turbo chargers (I think I need to sit down).
All images have been edited in Adobe Lightroom, some heavily. I love boosting the clarity which gives images a real boost by pushing mid-range contrast I believe.
These are some amazing photos. I have always had a love for GT40's so that's my favourite photo by far.
I would agree, the photo of the GT40 makes my jaw drop.

Yes we've been pretty lucky here. Although generally a few degrees cooler the weather feels to be better. I think the sea breezes give us clearer skies.
I guess winter could be more extreme. I've never lived by the sea
Oh it's dull in winter - we visit all year round beforehand as the family are here. Summer makes up for it though.
Saying that I quite like a good blustery walk along the beach.

Oh wow that GT40 is awesome. Looks better than the new one. They definitely have a timeless style, one of the few cars that do.
Not going to argue on the timeless front. Would love to have the opportunity to drive an original model but at nearly 6'4" I doubt it will ever happen :)
Yeah I saw Jeremy Clarkson try and get in one on top gear, don't think he is quite as tall as you. Needless to say he didn't fit, the door would have chopped his head off.
Was that the one where they came up with a Ford GT 43....had a bulge in the roof to make it 3 inches taller. Brilliant.
