Mutton Dalcha


Ingredients

  • 2 medium size potatoes
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 eggplant
  • 5 long beans
  • 1 tomato
  • A handful of peanuts dal
  • Little pieces of chicken
  • 5 cloves of shallot, small slices
  • 3 cloves of garlic, small slices
  • 1 cm ginger, puree
  • 3 tablespoons curry powder
  • Powdered herbs (Clove flowers, mace flower, cinnamon, and cardamom to taste)
  • A little tamarind water
  • Sugar and salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 box of coconut milk
  • Enough water

The steps

  1. Cut the vegetables first, set aside.
  2. Saute onion, garlic, and fine ginger. Enter the chili powder and curry powder that has been given water, stir-fry until fragrant. Then enter all the powdered herbs.
  3. Add chicken, potatoes and water.
  4. After that enter the dal nuts and other vegetables, sugar, salt, tamarind water and coconut milk.
  5. Cook until cooked and the sauce is not too liquid. Lift.
  6. Dish with rice or canai bread.
