Children are a mandate that Allah SWT entrusts to parents. Therefore, parents must maintain, care for and educate, and instill the values ​​of kindness and compassion in a child. Especially in matters of religion, parents must also pay more attention to introduce and instill Islamic values ​​to the child. Thus, he will grow up to be a righteous child who can later become a guardian for parents to go to heaven.

If there is a term "disobedient child", so also applies to parents. Lack of attention to children by not providing good parenting and not introducing Islamic teachings is a form of parents' disobedience to children. Ibn Qayyim al-Jauziyah once said, "Anyone who deliberately does not teach useful things to his child and just leaves it, means he has disobeyed his son."

In this day and age, perhaps the many deviant behaviors that occur among teenagers are caused by a lack of parental attention to their children, especially in terms of religious development.
