What does being justified means?
It means to be declared 'not guilty.'
As far as God is concerned, you're not guilty of any offence.
"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" Romans 5:1
You've been justified!
When Jesus died on the cross, He took the punishment for your sins, though He was not guilty of any sin.
"Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth" 1 Peter 2:22
That's why God is no longer holding your sins against you.
"To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation." 2 Corinthians 5:19
