Cultural and Religious Festivals

Festivals are actually the events of the daily life that are held by the public of a nation with accordance to their cultures or the religions. Different people enjoy their festivals according to their different tastes. Some people used to celebrate some festivals with a full zeal along with the tumultuous activities especially gathering with their friends and their dears including their family and relatives, neighbors and other fellows. While, some festivals are celebrate with a respectful and a peaceful manner without any noise and tumultuous behaviours.

Actually festivals and events are the major part of the country's culture or the nation's cultures or believes. Some festivals are celebrated because these festivals were also arranged by the ancestors if the nation while others are celebrated because they are the need if the time. Moreover, some of the festivals are arranged as these festivals are the basic parts of different religions and people used to celebrate them with their own traditions and within the particular boundaries. Let's discuss about my Favorite Festival that is Eid-ul-Fitr.

Eid-ul-Fitr

Eid-ul-Fitr is my most favorite festival among the all other festivals. Actually, it is a basic festival that is held by our muslims communities because it is a religious festival of Islam. Actually, the Islamic calendar is full of many peaceful and respectful festivals and Eid-ul-Fitr is also one of those festivals. There are actually two major eids in Islam. One is the Eid-ul-Fitr while the second one is the Eid-ul-Azha. Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated after the blessed month of Ramadan while Eid-ul-Azha is celebrated on the 10th of the last Islamic month, Zil Hajj.

History of Eid-ul-Fitr

As I have discussed before that Eid-ul-Fitr is our Islamic festivals that is held anually at the end of the most blessed month Ramadan or on the 2st of the 1st of the month Shiwal. Actually, it is a great blessings of Almighty Allah that he has set the Eid-ul-Fitr after the month Ramadan. It is a great gift for the whole muslims of the world as they have spent a month in fasting and the happiness and joy of Eid-ul-Fitr became a source of relaxance and joy for every person.

Eid-ul-Fitr was recently held among the muslim community all around the world with full zeal and excitement. On the May 03, it was our 1st day of Eid-ul-Fitr. Actually Eid-ul-Fitr is divided into three days, second and third days are known as Tarro and Marro in our area. I would like to know that what these two days are called in different parts of the world?

Eid-ul-Fitr is arranged in the muslim community as it is a source of rising sipirits of humanity and affection in the muslim communities. The muslim fellows felt the sadness and the poverty of the poor muslims and help the deserving muslim brothers in the form of the Fitrana. The Fitrana is actuallly a financial help of the deserving poor. It is given on the day of eid before the eid prayer or anywhere between the holy month Ramadan.

My Eid-ul-Fitr 2022

As I have told you earlier that we have arranged and celebrated the Eid-ul-Fitr recently and now I will discuss about my eid days with all of you.

Eid Prayer

First of all, as usual, I woke up in the morning and I was very much excited as it was our eid day. I got up and dressed me up for the eid prayer. Then, I along with the males of my family including my father, brothers, uncle, grandfather, and cousins went to the mosque for reciting the eid prayer.

Actually, the Eid prayer is the basic and the most important part if the eid. Eid is incomplete without the eid prayer. After reciting the eid prayer, all of us say "Eid Mubarak" to everyone and in a blessed circumstance, we made our way towards the home.

Eid Dishes

There came the time of the sweet, as well as, spicy dishes. Our mother cooked some special and tasty dishes for us. All of the family members enjoyed those sweet and delicious dishes with full joy and love. Have a look on the below pictures in this regard.

Gathering With Friends

After having those tasty dishes, we went outside to say Eid Mubarak to all my friends and other dears. Actually, Eid is a time for gathering and chill. It is a day in the muslim community when all of the people recite sweat words to each other. So, I went to my friends home where we had planned to gather and celebrate the eid events. I also captured some beautiful moments with my friends that are shown in the below pictures.

You can see in the above pictures that all of us were dressed up with the blue color. Actually, on every Eid, we all friends went to shopping together and managed to dress up same. This eid we have chosen the Blue color cotton that was looking superb to all of my friends.

Eidi Time

There comes the most interesting and the most beautiful part of the eid. It is the time for collecting eidi from all of my elder family members. The eidi is actually a gift from the older members of the family to the younger family members. All if the elders have arranged for new currency notes to give the eidi to the younger members if the family. My father also sent me to the bank and ask me to withdraw new and fresh notes.

I collected eidi from all of the elder members of my family including my father, uncles, mother, my elder cousins and my aunts. My grandma and grandpa also gifted me with a precious eidi in the form of ruppee, our national currency. At last, I had a collection of total about 20000 PKR that is about 350 STEEM. I am thankful to all of the family members who gifted me with eidi. I am also willing to gather more eidi from the other members who have not met me yet xD.

So, that's all about my Favorite Festival. I hope that you will like this post.
